Food was great, service was mediocre. Constantly asking for coffee n tea refills even when waitress walking to other tables with pot but not bothering to ask. Plus empty plates piled up on table. Come on place was not packed no reason for lack of service. Free pickle bar was nice touch. Good food never realized was more then just... More

Enjoyed an early dinner during my first visit at Pumpernicks recently. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and the pickle bar was delicious. I ordered the Athena omelet based on the waitress' recommendation and was not disappointed. My husband enjoyed the chicken croquettes. The portion sizes are large so we both had leftovers to take home. We hope... More

Breakfast is so good that if you don't get there early, you will have to wait in line! Food is fresh and we love the free pickle bar!

The highlight of this place is the pickle bar. Besides that, take it or leave it. This is diner food with that is slightly overpriced with a Jewish flair to it. The menu is extensive and serves adult beverages. For diner food, not bad. Decent to large size portions. Parking and access is god awful, as it is right on... More

We've been regulars at Pumpernick's and it's always been a treat for our family. But lately, we've noticed that the amount of food seems to have shrunk while the price has gone way up. We ordered a Mini Brunch which was around $40 or so, and usually, we have enough fish to last a couple of days at home. Not... More

I eat at Pumpernicks at least once a month. The service and food are excellent. The New Yorker corn beef sandwich is better than the famous place in New York.

We order for work multiple times a month and the sandwich platter and redskin potato salad are the best! Food is always fresh and the portions are generous for the money. Well worth a visit if you're in town.

Several reviewers have noted the great food and not-so-good service. My experience was the opposite: friendly service and ordinary food. Because I wasn't in a sandwich mood, I had corned beef with slaw, Russian dressing, and swiss cheese served over two potato pancakes. The corned beef didn't have a lot of flavor and the potato pancakes were over cooked and... More
