Good Food

Bring your appetite, the portions are big and so is the flavor. My wife had the pike. High pieces of fish with a mound of fresh cut fries. My daughter and I had the prime rib. The flavor was a bit salty for her, but I found it worked well with my larger portion. Service was fast and friendly. A... read more

My husband and I happen to stay at a motel near this restaurant and the owners told us about this restaurant. We went there for breakfast and we were amazed at how much love is put into making each meal. The bacon, ham and sausage is homemade and they are to die for. Their sweet potato pancakes are something I've... More

We were part of a party of 10 on a recent Saturday night. The menu is quite large in terms of variety with many choices of appetizers, sandwiches, desserts and entrees. Our group ordered a few appetizers to share and both sandwiches and entrees were chosen. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was great.

You will get more than your money's worth at this family restaurant in North East, PA. Warm and friendly service, plentiful food and make sure you save room for dessert. The hard part will be choosing just one.

The pot roast sandwich and homemade sausage is amazing! They have so many great homemade dishes to chose from! Very small town, with big taste!

This was our third visit to this charming restaurant on Route 5 and we were not disappointed. They have a varied menu served quickly by their friendly staff. My yellow pike fish fry was more than I could eat so I took home my leftovers. My wife tried the pasta supreme and she loved it and also had leftovers for... More

We stopped by here for lunch and were impressed with the historical decor (old maps and photos covered the walls) and wide-ranging menu. I had the fresh Pike Sandwich and home made cole slaw. The bun was bulging with fish cooked just right. Seafood and steak and Pizza and just about anything else you might want is available and someone... More

Freeport was suggested to us by some locals and we were not disappointed. We had the Yellow Perch Fried fish- excellent value and taste. The fish appeared to be hand-battered as opposed to being processed at some factory. The Seafood soup tasted homemade and our cocktails were generous pours. The owner spent extensive time visiting our table which made us... More

So my husband and I are staying at the grape arbor bed and breakfast and we went to the Freeport restaurant because we heard it was good. The place is old and outdated, the waitress was very nice. The fried pickles were good. The problem started when we ordered the prime rib which we love and know about the cut... More
