People travel miles for these hoagies and so would I if I weren't lucky enough to live in the neighborhood. These are the hoagies you know done with extra care and quality products with the result being the best hoagie you'll ever have. And the service is as good as the hoagies - these gentlemen take pride in their work.... More

Cut Above makes great hoagies. Call ahead as the place is always busy and there is not a lot of room.

Excellent subs at a reasonable price. It is a treat to go to the Cut Above. Call ahead and order to avoid standing in line too long.

Always our first choice for sandwiches for lunch, and sometimes a roast beef or roast pork for dinner. The meats they use are excellent, but it is the rolls that make the hoagies exceptional. They know how to build a hoagie that is true to the name.

My sister and I were in the area and were looking for lunch. Having read some reviews we figured on giving it a try. Got the turkey with sharp provolone. Very good and the roll really does make the hoagie. This is a call and pick up or order and pick up so you get the lunch to go. The... More

was in the area, heard about it, tried it. very good italian hoagie, good roll which makes it, and paper thin sliced meat and cheese. a bit pricey, but worth it as the quality is there. the meat was freshly sliced and not done prior. just the right amount of oil to wet the sandwich but not to drip out... If you are looking for a great sandwich come here. The bread is great and everything is made fresh. Plus the staff is friendly. You can't eat here but it is sure a great take out place.

Little pricey, but the bread is the best and makes this hoagie. For you non-Philadelphians, "hoagie"=subs :)

After reading the many reviews of all the hoagie/submarine shops I opted to try A Cut Above on a recent visit to the area. I ordered a small and regular size Cut Above Italian and a regular size fresh mozzarella and roasted pepper. The small came in a hard roll type of bun that I personally liked a bit better... More
