Solid

Solid meal. Came out fairly quickly and had a good overall atmosphere. There didn't seem there was much room for seating so I am unsure how they would handle a big rush. That being said, the restaurant was not very crowded and we went on Valentine's Day.

The Black Horse use to be the place to go but not anymore. There is a new chef so the food is okay but the cocktails are cheap and they use cheap alcohol even when you order premium. Go somewhere else.

I asked the bartender specifically for a "captain and ginger" I proceeded to watch the bartender fill the drink with calico jack (a lower grade much, much cheaper liquor) she then gave me the drink and I drank it thinking they were out of the captain morgan. Then the bill showed that the bartender had in fact charged for the... More

Happy hour, I believe from 5 to 7 every day is fun and a great deal. A nice selection of drinks plus some tasty bargain-priced food makes it a good place. Located in the middle of lovely Newtown in an old stone building, it has a nice feel. On friday nights they have a trivia hour with a free drink... More

This place was highly recommended when we were looking for somewhere to eat. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed in the food itself. The burgers were small, overcooked, the cheese was rubbery, items that were suppose to be w/ the burgers were missing, the lettuce was yellow, the fries were soggy and limp. The truffle fries barely had anything on them.... More

Had an early dinner on Valentines night, and brought our 2 small kiddos. Prices were ok. Service was very good but the ribeye was amazing! My hubby got the fillet and he agreed my meal was better. The truffle fries are good too!

I've been for dinner twice now. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and I love the heritage aspect, but both meals left me unenthused. I don't even remember what I had the first visit. It just wasn't memorable either way. Last time I went, I ordered a salad and then a steak. I'm not sure if I was unclear, but... More

The food is great. It is an uspscale environment with prices to match, but you get what you pay for here. The upscale environment is topped off with a piano bar and makes a great place to wait for a table.

This is the second time we stopped here, although both times have been for a drink, rather than a meal. Overall, both of our experiences were very good, and we enjoyed our time here. This latest time (end of December), we stopped on a Monday night, right before they closed. The staff was extremely friendly (our bartender was great, and... More

We were excited about trying a new place and stopped there for dinner. My daughter chose a vegetarian dish with tofu for $16 and I had the vegetarian dumplings. Service was slow and when the tofu dish came out, my daughter couldn't find any tofu. We told the waitress and she just kind of looked at us, and we looked... More
