Simply great food, good service and not over-priced (don't understand why anyone would make that comment). I really like the intimacy of this place and it's great location right downtown. We don't get in here often enough, but always enjoy visiting here.

that reflects how quaint Newtown is. The Italian food is very good and the staff is very friendly. Prices are comparable to areas restaurants, but being able to bring your own wine makes this restaurant a good buy.

I've dined here many times for lunch and dinner. Consistently good to very-good experience each time. Offers Italian dining with a slight flair. Great garlic bread (on the best-ever list). The seafood-and-pasta dishes (great clams and pasta) are good choices. Very pleasant staff and a nice overall atmosphere. Can get a bit loud if a large group is in the... More

Enjoyable restaurant with pleasant service and slightly above average food. Food is a bit overpriced for the quality that you get. Worth a visit once. Service is very good.

Way overpriced and food was so-so. So many other restaurants in the area that are better so don't waste your time and money here.

One of the 2 great Italian Restaurants on State Street. Good friendly service and authentic Italian food. A little small and crowded, but still very nice. Plus it's a BYOB.

Went to Florentino's with another couple, we had reservations and none of us had been there before. It looks very cute from the outside, we walk in and wait for about 2-3 minutes before a waitress walks up to us. We tell her the name, and she says, "someone will be right with you". Meanwhile it is so small inside... More

We dined at Florentino's in Newtown recently, and thoroughly all enjoyed our entrees and appetizers. We were too full for dessert. They had a "kiiler" thin layered eggplant parmesan entree. Having that one myself, next time! I had a fabulous sea scallop meal with a decadent sauce, really delicious! BYOB, make reservations, it's small and close quarters, just like eating... More

I've been here a couple of times and once being on my birthday with my husband. I love the food, atmosphere and the fact that the restaurant is BYOB. I love how intimate and cozy the restaurant which is also why you have to make reservations. My favorite entree is Bob's plate...lots of seafood in pasta with a blush sauce,... More

We went with friends we have not seem in months on a saturday. It was about 12:30 and 2 other guests were dining. Shortly there after 3 more tables were filled. It was quiet and comfortable. The server offered us regular or garlic bread, we chose the latter. I had the Gorgonzola pasta. Very good and a lot of tasty... More
