We looked at this place prior to our trip to New Hope, mostly because I love Mexican food (an amazing restaurant close to home closed a few months ago and it's been rough) and I have to disagree with the last few reviews. We had heard that this place was really good, but we were not impressed. Average at best. Food arrived Luke warm and looked sloppy.

Have to give one star as the place was empty except for one table at 4pm on a Tuesday after I went with my family to the children's museum. My wife, mother-in-law, infant son and I walked in and the young server told us we would have to leave our small McClaren umbrella stroller outside as, "they don't like strollers... More

This should be better then average but it's not. I have gone here a few times and it's not much better then American/Mexican . It lacks authentic flavor. The service is mediocre at best.

I first ate at this restaurant at 3:00 pm on a rainy day when few people were dining in New Hope. The owner was so gracious that I felt comfortable asking him what he would order from the menu (I love all Mexican food). He told me about the red sauce for the enchiladas -- his grandmother's recipe -- that... More

Food was average but best part is the free homemade tequila. Go just for that! Of course you must buy their 'margarita mix' but worth it.

I have actually tried this place several times before writing this review. I love Mexican food and they have great Nacho chips so I really wanted to like this place. The food is always just okay. Fast food Mexican is actually better. Yesterday, I had the steak tacos and my wife had the chicken enchiladas. The steak in my taco... More

We shared a tortilla soup and carne asada tacos; both were excellent (lots of steak and great sauces on the tacos) and plenty for two people to share. Strangely, even though they don't have a liquor license, you can order margarita mix, and they'll give you free tequila to put in it. The outside patio is nice for people watching.

Came here last night with friends for a great dining experience. Their food and service is great. If you are in the area you should give this place a try. The food is authentic and has flavor. This place is BYOB so remember to bring some spirits if going...

We have visited The Blue Tortilla several times. The food is never heavy or sauce-laden. It's possible to eat a fairly healthy meal here - especially if you are able to stay away from the chip and guac (good luck!). Plenty of choices on the menu for a variety of tastes - some mild, some spicy. It's a little pricier... More
