Wonderful Winter Dining

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but as you're always told - "Don't judge a book by its cover." The interior is warm and inviting with low lighting, candlelight, and roaring fires. The perfect ambiance for a romantic night or an intimate meal with a few friends. The chefs cook in the... read more

First thing when you walk in, even on a chilly night, it feels warm and inviting. There are real flowers throughout the restaurant and real working fireplaces with nice subtle fires just warm enough to take off the chill. The table settings are very nice with also "real" working candles in hurricane vases. The glassware is sparkling clean. ( as... More

The atmosphere and service were exceptional. The food was OFF THE CHARTS excellent !!!!! I had the leanest and tastiest duck ever. My wife had the veal medallions which were so tender and delicious !!! For appetizers, I had seared scallops which were AMAZING, and my wife had INCREDIBLE escargot !!!! They served us dessert and coffee by the fireplace.... More

Unfortunately I can't even rate Phillips Mill. The food was "mediocre" and the service was lacking to say the least (can I please have more water, anybody??) We were celebrating our uncle's 70 th birthday and had prearranged a specific cake for him. Not only did they not have the cake that was ordered (or any cake that had not... More

Excellent meal with relatives. Cosy venue where we took our own wine. We could have been in France or the UK. Excellent menu and quality of food.

The Inn at Phillip's Mill is a charming venue on the tow path by the Delaware River. It has charming rooms with large fire places and a lovely outdoor patio area. The service is slow and unprofessional, the food is average at best and overpriced. Given all the choices in this area of Pennsylvania and New Jersey I feel one... More

Service was the worst we have experienced in any restaurant. We were a party of 7 gathering for our Christmas dinner -we have been getting together for 20 years and always look forward to our holiday dinner. This year was a total disappointment. The waitress ignored us. We had to request menus, wine to be opened and even the check.... More

Always a memorable experience. We were three couples interested in sharing good wine, good food and a wonderful evening together. We passed around an assortment of appetizers, and the trio of fish was outstanding. The seasonal soups and salads had everyone's attention, and the main courses satisfied us all. The filet with bleu cheese especially delivered, while the salmon and... More

Everything about this was high end... except the prices. See the current menu on the link here. The soup of the day was apple and beet... amazing. There is an app of three smoked fishes that looked like it was made by the pastry chef. I had a filet of beef done just right with blue cheese butter, others had... More

We celebrated our Anniversary at this old favorite. We were not disappointed with the food or the service. Charming table by the fire.
