We have dined at Macaluso's a number of times. It is five minutes from Jim Thorpe right on 209 and 15 minutes from 309 and 54. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice bar and large separate dining room. It was Friday football night and Halloween so the place was not busy. On other visits we had great servers that... More

This was our second trip here. Our first visit was nearly 15 years ago when we realized we had a namesake in the mountains of Pennsylvania. We share the same last name as the owner Toni Marie and her passion for food is something we also share. We wish we lived closer than two hours away. The restaurant is bright, clean,... More

Our bartender, Lisa, was thoughtful and kind, and mixes a good drink. Our waitress Carla was quite personable and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Good salads with house-made dressings. Excellent Carb Au Gratin and Chicken with Artichokes and Gorgonzola. We have never been disappointed here!

My husband and I went here for our 43 anniversary. We'd been there once before for their "Mushroom Specialties". That day the place was PACKED and we got to try many mushroom dishes .. oh MY .. it was INCREDIBLE! For our anniversary we started with Calamari, then had their Mushroom Soup (no words to describe its flavor!). We each... More

OK, nothing is perfect and I am probably a little biased as this is in my back-yard but I have had the good fortune to do a little traveling and get out of the back-yard and I have found some of the offerings here as good as they get. I have read some other reviews and got the sense that... More

Macaluso's is our go to restaurant when we want an exceptional meal with great service and a nice atmosphere. Last week the special appetizer was an eggplant cheese cake, it was fantastic, panko breadcrumbs and several cheeses with fresh tomato sauce, so yummy. I had veal, it was a thick piece of meat, not pounded thin, it was great. If... More

i have eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed my meal. Plenty to eat. Sometimes a little loud if they have a meeting, though the do put them in the back if possible. I do recommend their soups which are homemade and delicious.

We came here for a catered dinner for an event, where we had lemon basil chicken, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, pork, salad and rolls, all in buffet style. The chicken was excellent, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, didn't need anything on it. The mashed potatoes were really good, but could use a little more, like salt or garlic... More

Without hesitation Macaluso's is our favorite restaurant. We have enjoyed each visit. The cream of portabella soup is very nice, the arugula salad is offered with creative variations, and the seafood is delicious. Don't miss the pineapple martinis and the Manhattans! And the wonderful folks who work here are the friendliest & most knowledgeable staff around. Looking forward to our... More
