I had heard good things about this restaurant. We had a party of 13 or 14 for my father-in-law's 91st birthday dinner here. The good news is that the ambiance was pleasant, historical and comfortable. Our waitress tried REALLY hard. The bad news was that the restaurant should not have accepted our reservation. They had two large parties, one was... More

We went to Easter buffet and found that things have really changed since my last visit. At one time it was the place to go for holidays and special occasions. The buffet had poor quality food and limited selection. The food was all instant and cold. the facility was dated and dirty. It was not well organized. The buffet was on the... More

In all honesty, whatever I would write here (an there would be much) would not begin to describe how bad the Easter Buffet was. Take what you will from that!

We used to go here for our anniversary, hadnt been in 5 years or so. Used to be very high class, tablecloths, elegant decor, high quality food. To our dismay, it was the complete opposite. Upon entering, was cold, dank, and empty. I thought they were closed. The server/host/bartender was very nice. The place was empty, and she was excited... More

As other reviewers had said, this USED to be THE place to eat at one time. Don't bother now. The decor has not been redone since the 80s--in fact, the brick steps leading up to the restaurant are crumbling so badly that management placed orange caution cones on them. We should have taken that as a warning. Inside the decor... More

Used to go here every Sat. & Sun. for several years. Then new people took over. Prices went up, quantities went down. Place was not as clean anymore. Now the are not open for Breakfast or Lunch???? Use to have a GREAT Brunch on Sundays outside, but they also did away with that. Never went back.

Lantern Lodge Restaurant is located within the Lantern Lodge Hotel. We had been talking about going there for years and finally went on a recent Saturday evening. We were a group of 6 and made reservations, which were not really necessary. The staff was very friendly and attentive, without being annoying. They have a nice menu and have specials such... More

What a great surprise. Our group of 17 had a blast on the patio. Great food great drinks and the band the cabana boys were terrific. Sitting outside great weather and the super moon. We all had a great time. Do driving as the hotel is only steps away! Boys golf during the days and the ladies shop. Love Pennsylvania.

Our club had its annual awards brunch at Lantern Lodge. We opted for the Sunday Champagne Brunch which received very favorable reviews from some who traveled 2 1/2 hours to get to the event. Our room was set up for the brunch, speaker and presentation of awards as we requested; it was private, yet had attentive service of the staff.... More
