We decided to try this taverna since it was hailed as authentic. We were not disappointed with either the food or the surroundings. We went for the fish and meat meze and everything was excellent and much more than the three of us could eat. The courses seemed to be endlessly arriving and we ended up taking await the desert... Best food in the Ayia Napa area. Definitely worth to take a taxi and go to Sotira village to enjoy this great food and atmosphere. Home made bread, cheese and homegrown vegetables. A trough delight to dine here.

This is the best tavern in Cyprus offering the highest quality Cypriot meze. I have visited a lot of taverns around Cyprus but Mousikos is the best one which I highly recommend!!!

There are many tavernas throughout Cyprus but unfortunately the majority are what locals call "tourist tavernas" with imitation, low quality mezedes. Mousikos is definitely the exception that is why he is well known throughout Cyprus. The mezedes served are top quality, genuine Cypriot specialities excellently prepared and presented! The whole halloumi baked slightly in the oven and sprinkled with sea... More

Traditional Cypriot food at it's best,in a wonderful setting served by attentive, pleasant staff. Four of us had the mezze, the best I've ever had and slightly different from the usual offerings.Home baked bread was lovely as was everything else and the dishes just kept coming. My only criticism would be that there was just too much, although we did take some home with... Very good food - but by far the best part of the meal was the fresh halloumi cheese. Worth a trip here for that alone! We visited on a recommendation from a staff member at the Grecian Park Hotel, who is from Sotira, so this place was always going to be a safe bet. From the reviews on here (and... More

This restaurant offers the best traditional food. The fresh homemade halloumi is the most delightful thing. All dishes were more than delicious. We ordered the full meze. At the end, we had the "Bourekia" desert. Yum :) The staff are friendly and the place is packed all the time.

This traditional taverna is always busy even in winter and is visited by many locals. The food is superb, everything is fresh and as other reviewers have stated the homemade bread and halloumi is wonderful! Sadly Cyprus is running out of traditional tavernas and as a result many restaurants tend to serve international cuisine. If you want local food at... More

We came here with our Cypriot friends as a family on a Monday evening in October. Although it was the beginning of the week, the place was still very busy and I would recommend booking in advance. It is only a short 10 - 15 minute car journey from Ayia Napa or Protaras. We found there were quite a few... More
