Taverna Mousikos offers a great selection of meze and possibly the best halloumi on the island. The food is served on a charming terrace under a beautiful passionfruit vine. The staff is friendly and prices affordable.

Mousikos tavern serves a very good meze with a wide variety of choices, from traditional slow cooked lamb to home made haloumi cheese..., preferable during the summer where you sit under the grape vines and admire the traditional old building which has been lovingly restored. Very good service and a good selection of wine .Highly recommended.

I have found out (the hand way) that you can not easily find good LOCAL food in tourist areas. The tavern ''Mousikos'' can be found in an unknown agricultural village (Sotira), 8km from the Ayia Napa tourist area and serves good local food for reasonable prices. Don't forget to book in advance (3-4 days in advance for Saturdays) and always... More

Mousikos Tavern at Sotera village is the Cypriot tavern par excellence! It serves a number of dishes, the most desirable being the traditional “meze” – an assortment of small-quantity dishes. The food is very tasty, high quality and very stomach-filling. The waitresses are very courteous and helpful and service is very efficient. The food takes some time to arrive (approximately... More

Another great meal at Mousikos. Went with our friends from the UK and had a fantastic meal and time. The tavern was packed and had a lovely atmosphere. The service and the food excellent as always.

This taverna is off the beaten track but it is always full with a waiting list most evenings. The setting is idyllic in the village of Sotira with a huge windmill overlooking one end of the taverna which holds well over 100 persons in their gardens. The food is Mezze style and comes out very quickly. The highlight is halloumi... More

We found this restaurant by chance as we were using Google maps to navigate and it was indicated on the map. We asked for a table for 3 and this large restaurant was only half full but they asked if we had booked to which we smiled! Within a few minutes of sitting down it was full! We ordered the... More

Came across this restaurant quite by chance two years ago, well worth a drive out from Protaras, wonderful atmosphere, food is excellent, staff helpful, quick and friendly, staff recognised me from previous years, definitely return again before we go home, would definitely suggest a visit to anyone, good value in lovely setting. Would suggest booking in advance if wishing to... More

The taverna functions in a classical Cypriot 100 year old house, the environment is perfect. As for the food, the meze is delish, as well as the service which defines original good Cypriot hospitality. A "must" when in Cyprus!

The tavern is located in Sotira village, 10 minutes from Protaras and Ayia Napa. The food is made from local products and tastes deliciously. The meze is great and the portions are very large. They serve freshly baked bread and one of the best "Halloumi" in Cyprus!!! The staff is very friendly and the price is fair. If you want... More
