Breakfast

Foods is always good but the place could be cleaner, you get what you pay for. Had creamed chipped beef on toast.

We went to Windmill on the recommendation of a family meme be who had eaten there many years ago. The waffles had a great reputation. We were not at all disappointed. The waffles and pancakes were delicious and light. I've never had pancakes that light before. It felt like I was biting into a cloud. The ham slice my son... More

Every time here the food is not cooked. Including pink chicken. Even French fries come out nearly Raw. There is one server who is good, otherwise the service here has been pretty bad lately. Several unpleasant At best waitresses with very negative attitudes. This place is going downhill big time. maybe I'll come back in 6 months or so and... More

Stopped on a whim as we traveled back home. Food was average and the place felt very old, especially in the style of the place. Had "amish" fried chicken but the pieces were especially small and the amount of chicken I actually ate was not a good value. My wife ordered chicken tenders which was a decent amount of food... We had 9 of the family eating dinner after a day on the farm doing fall stuff. The key point, in this review, is they can handle a family. Minimal wait only to set tables. Service was orderly and well timed. Food is simple diner food. From burgers, cheese sandwiches & fries to traditional chicken corn soup & pork and... More

Had one meal at the Windmill. Sadly, one was enough. The steak was tough as nails, but it was better than going hungry.

Let me start by saying that the chicken corn soup was delicious. I assume that it was fresh local corn in the soup since we stopped there in the middle of sweet corn season. The side salads were large but there were some brown pieces of lettuce. We decided to get the chicken pot pie since we were in PA... More

Stopped in on a whim for a late lunch. The staff is super friendly, food is good. I had the breaded haddock sandwich that was served open-faced because the piece of fish is huge with a cream of corn soup. The fish was tasty and cooked to perfection; the corn soup, sweet but not over-poweringly sweet. Some of the pies... More

A nice, friendly local place with just enough Pennsylvania Dutch offerings to justify their use of a decorative windmill that looked like one you might have seen on an old mini-golf course, only bigger! Come hungry. The chicken pot pie (without crust, as they warn you) is huge and more like what I think of as a chicken stew, with... More

We were glad the Windmill was still open as we drive by Memorial Day evening. So many other places were closed. The country ham was delicious with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken pot pie was also very tasty.
