Yes, the restaurant is hidden not just in a mall but very small "store front"/lackluster entrance. We arrived on a Monday night to a dead restaurant. The staff was bored to death, dragging their feet, tattered clothing and frankly I wouldn't hire any of the staff. The decor is average but for the prices they charge/ type restaurant they are... Overall very good, but I had the feeling the fish wasn't fresh. The crab cake while very good had an underlying hint of being masked and was quite small. The mahi tacos were okay, but had a fishy odor. Cole slaw was very good and service was impeccable. I doubt I'll return when back in the area based on this... More

Always a great meal at Monterey Bay and the ambience is special. Customer service is beyond reproach.

We were treated like royalty!! As we were completing our 30 hour journey, we wanted something quite & simple. Ann was a great server and made it easy for us to use both the tavern & restaurant menue- Lobster topped salad & trout almondine were superb. We were Even thanked by the manager, both at our table and as we... More

The food is decent quality, but it's very expensive. The portion size is small and your entree does not come with sides. You have to order those separately and pay extra. The service is rather slow on top of the other shortcomings. Not worthwhile the price. I do not plan on returning.

My husand and I stopped overnight in Monroeville on our trip to D.C. After a long day of traveling, we just wanted to relax in a quiet restaurant. We were pleased by the decor and since the restaurant was not crowded, it fit the bill. The restaurant is somewhat pricy and we were not overly hungrey, so we decided on... More

Good food, very expensive, small portions, no sides. Everything is extra. Waited over an hour for dinner when the place only had 3 tables with people, so not crowded. Drinks took at least 15 minutes every time to show up. Bill over $500 for 6 people, 2 of which were teenagers and not drinking. Dark décor. Told the manager about... More

We have been to this restaurant several times and were celebrating a graduation. The service was painfully slow, the drinks weak until we complained, the meals were bland, the manager was annoying until we told him our meals were slow and then he disappeared, never to return. There are a number of restaurants in PIttsburgh to get fabulous seafood and... More

I would never recommend this restaurant. ...which is sad. Being in the "business myself"...I hate to review with complete disregard and respect...but... our waitress was kind, professional, and hospitable. All other service personal were disgustingly rude. The bar maid should be fired on the spot. She made the most glaring stares, animalistic noises, etc to get us to leave (... More

I agree with others on this site that the restaurant is overpriced, particularly at the Mall. Prices may be justified at the Pittsburgh location with great views but this has no view. Food is good but with everything a la carte the bill can shoot up quickly. Sides should be included with the entrée price, although salads are reasonable. Service... More
