Best India Food Around

I have been frequenting Udipi's for years. The menu is 100% vegetarian, very reasonably priced, and fits my bill for authentic Indian cuisine. The outside looks somewhat disreputable. Everything on the inside is glaringly spartan. Drink options are limited. The parking is a little awkward, although... read more

Ambience and service in this restaurant is typically like Indian style..service was little poor... They urged us to place order as soon we entered the cafe.and they didn't give time to even look into menu card..somehow, idly sambar came to our mind and we ordered it.. Sambar and idly were really good. Coconut chutney was just okay.. And we ordered... More

I love Indian food, but...the service is horrible. I went there several times, giving them a chance. You will sit there for quite a while, until you are able to have your order taken. The servers are rude. They do not smile, ask how your food is. They don't seem to care about their jobs. They look unhappy and irritated.... More

It's tough to find good South Indian food in the U.S., but this is it. Authentic South Indian food and nice people. The atmosphere (or lack thereof) isn't for everyone, but I like it. It's a bare bones hole-in-the-wall type place, but I'm there for the food. The dosas and uttapams are my favorites, but they have a wide variety... More

This place will look shabby with inconvenient parking lot. Interiors are old and diner-like. Service will be impersonal i.e. server will not introduce himself and same server may not bring all your order and check. But, if you can get past that, food (only vegetarian) is quite delicious. Go for South-Indian dishes and stay away from dishes with Paneer. I... More

I stopped here on the way to a meeting on a Thursday night. I had been wanting to go for some time - it has a great reputation among the (sizable) Indian community in the Monroeville area. That said, I must admit, I was a little disappointed. To begin, the facility is a little off-putting. The parking lot is not... More

Visited this restaurant as it had high ratings in tripadvisor. Surprisingly it was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I can only wonder why people wrote so good about this restaurant. I am not sure if the food is always this bad or it was bad just for that day though. We live in New Jersey and have tasted South Indian food in... More

I have been here atleast 3 times on my visit to Sri Venkateshwara temple. This place offers nicest indian vegetarian food and esp south indian. I would love to visit this place whenever I am in the steel town. love their appetizer sampler, gobi manchurian, dosas. Service is great. Interior is not so classy but not bad though.

In town for Steel City Con, we pulled up to a nearly empty parking lot of a very sketchy looking restaurant in a rather industrial area...and then it hit us.....we opened our doors and the aromas of each and every spice and flavor that was about to tickle our tastebuds, took hold of our olfactory systems and we were.....GONE!!!!!!!!!! The... More
