The food was good and restaurant was large enough we did not feel like we were sitting to close to other customers. The bathrooms need updating but otherwise we ate here 3 of the 4 nights we were in town. Large menu with many selections made it easy to please everyone.

Been going there for years and except for the pizza the food is just so, so at best. Menu is far too big they need to make less and what they do make, make it right. It should be a good small town restaurant owner needs to wake up. We go to the golf course now.

Wooden Nickel is located right in the Square in downtown Millersburg, somewhat overlooking the Susquehanna River. They have a large menu with great items, very nice atmosphere, and the hard to find in Pennsylvania, a very nice bar area adjacent to the main dining area with liquor available via your wait staff.

We seem to always go to dinner with a group of friends. More times then I can count now, my good has been served luke warm. I don't like French fries cold. Had to ask the waitress 2 times for a side dish she forgot. I like the location but seems they can't handle a 8 person table and get... More

We have been going to the Wooden Nickel for many years. At one time, there was great food and many times you would have to wait for a seat. Not now! Food quality and service are going downhill. Each time is a little worse. Food has no flavor. It took forever to get our food. Sorry to see a good... More

It seems like each time we're in the area and stop here the food and service slip a bit more. Stopped in the late morning and had breakfast. It wasn't busy at all which would make you think it wouldn't be a long wait but it was. They had pancakes and we wanted to know if, instead of a giant... More

There is a wide range of food. This is a bar which is not always avaiable in small town resturants. The bathrooms do need an update. The wait staff is always very friendly

A bit pricey for typically diner-style menu items. Tried to be adventurous and ordered boneless duck. Meat a bit rubbery and was served with a glaze eerily similar to fajita sauce. Odd. Snap peas dripping with butter/margerine. Potatoes were average. Not awful, but price, ambience, and quality don't match up with each other.

On our way down route 147 in PA we passed through Millersburg. Remembered reading about the Wooden Nickel restaurant. We saw it and immediately stopped. Snowy winter evening and the view of the inviting park was our view out the window with its Christmas decorations it was lovely. We sat in the "bar" section and it was nice. Another section... More

Used to visit the Nickel everytime we visited Pennsylvania, food and service was great. It has been quite a while since we visited cause we heard bad things about the place, and unfortunately they were true. Prices have went sky high, food quality is way down, will not go again. 18.95 is way too much for batterer fish off the... More
