My wife and I went there twice while on vacation in Milford, once for breakfast and then for lunch the next day. The food was excellent both times with very good service. For lunch, sit outside so you can see and hear the Sawkill creek which runs next to the restaurant.

I visited the Waterwheel this weekend with my husband after more than ten years. We were in Milford for a quick getaway from NYC to do some hiking and antiquing. The Waterwheel is still as nice as I remembered it, perhaps even nicer. It is still very reliable with decent food (not gourmet in the least but with some new... More

They know how to do breakfast here! The french toast was awesome, and the bacon was cooked just the way I like it. It's hard to resist the pastries that are screaming - eat me, from the quaint little glass enclosure you must pass to get to the rest rooms. My theory is just give in to your temptation, you... More

Neat little bar in the basement next to you guessed it "a water wheel". We were bar hoping and camea aross it from people in town and loved it. A little dark but very neat with rock walls and the bar is cool.
