Free meal on your birthday!

Passing through Mifflinburg, PA and stopped for supper. It just happened to be my birthday and so my meal was free. The food was good - you know you're in PA Dutch country when pickled eggs are one of the sides choices and ring baloney and cheese is an appetizer choice. We chose to eat outside... read more

The Scarlet D makes a great middle point on a bike ride from Lewisburg. The Lewisburg & Mifflinburg rail trail goes from the parking lot in Lewisburg all the way to the road that the Mifflinburg Hotel is on. The rail trail is the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail and it goes from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg and back. You can begin... More

had a nice dinner tonight and were pleased with the speed of service and taste of food. Food has always been good but in the past had to wait for food to come out of kitchen.

We ate at this restaurant several times about a year ago and it was really great. This time... not so much. Perhaps it changed owners. The menu was not very extensive. Some of the food was very good; some was barely average. The Jalepeno Poppers are really hot! The Quesadillas are also very spicy due to the jalepeno peppers in... More

The town of Mifflinburg, with its downtown on the National Register of Historic Places and decidedly un-touristy, authentic flavor, is worth a visit by itself. The town is really quaint and when you're driving up Route 45 to get there, you'll pass a lot of Amish buggies. While you're there, be sure to check out the Scarlet D tavern. It's... More

A few years back the new owners the Bucks bought this place, this has been the first time we visited the place since they have opened it... The place looks much better, food is great and service was wonderful... Their homemade spinach artichoke dip with pita bread is a must have, their fried pickles with cucumber dip was delicious... burgers... More

Nice Victorian dining room. A couple dinners I've had here have been nothing special but they do have good sandwiches, outdoor seating, and a full bar.

Although Mifflinburg is a very quaint Amish town and well worth a visit, under no circumstances should you eat at the Mifflinburg Hotel's restaurant 'Scarlett D'. This without doubt was the worst experience that I have encountered. A Valentine's Day Dinner that took an hour for the mediocre starters to materialise and a further hour and a quarter for the...
