Good family dinning experience

We stopped in for Saturday lunch with our 3 teenagers. The menu has a good range of options and most of the dishes are made from scratch. My wife and I had the chicken corn chowder. This soup was very tasty and had so much chicken and corn there was little room left for broth. Our only... read more

Brownstone is a local favorite and I highly suggest you call before going. Brownstone occupies a former bank building and the history is still evident by the vault. Love the history and the food. Know for the Country Fried Steak, Seafood Chemise and several daily specials. You will not be disappointed and you find something to eat to satisfy your... More

This is a Middletown establishment, right on the corner downtown. The food is always great and so is the service. I highly recommend the chicken pot pie, honey fried chicken, fried fish, mac & cheese with stewed tomatoes.

I stopped by the Brownstone for a quick breakfast. The service was fast and friendly. I had the Balboa French Toast with Strawberries. I must say that this is one of the best breakfast items that I have ever had. Delicious french toast sandwiching scrumptious cream cheese. Oh what a delight!

We just happened on to this place. Very cool atmosphere. The restaurant was converted from an old bank and they have incorporated a lot of the items into the restaurant (large safe, safety deposit boxes, etc.) Good size portions and the waitress was very friendly.

A must stop to taste the old style hospitality! Buy a mug and support the historic maintenance costs!

Nice atmosphere although a little loud at times due to high ceiling. The food is very good, reasonable. They do have an upstairs that will allow for private events and they are very accommodating. Easy to find on a main street. Wait staff is friendly. Good choices on the menu.

The Brownstone Café offers very good food at very good prices. It is located in an old bank in the center of Middletown. Service has always been very good also. It is often crowded but there isn't a big wait time.
