This was our 3rd visit in a few months. We loved our dinners and especially liked our server, Tracey. Their nightly specials are always appealing. My husband had the 8 oz NY Strip & I had the grilled salmon on a wonderful salad (on-the-menu "salmone insulata"). The only drawback was the noise level, but our timing was great and several... More

Cute little local place with charm. We got 3 different entrees 2 out of 3 were good. Gnocchi had little too much lemon for me. Salad was great. Entrees were not served with bread. A small thing but disappointing.

La Porta's white stucco walls, exposed wooden beams and outdoor patio reminded us of dining in Europe. We faced a fireplace that had small shelves built into the structure and everywhere we looked we found pottery, birdhouses and doors. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out where the doors might have been before they were installed here.The... More

We watched the World Cup in the bar with the friendly bartender, and had chopped antipasto that was fresh and tasty. Then we headed out to the patio for dinner. We shared pasta with mushrooms and the brick oven pizza/Stromboli - both very good. Then we strolled through the large park across the street.

This is an excellent casual Italian restaurant. Some of the finest wood fired pizza I have ever eaten. The pastas are also very good. This is a bit of a drive for us, but definitely worth it. We have been able to walk in with just two of us but it is a risk as most tables are full even... More

Recently spent a very pleasant afternoon lunch on the gorgeous outdoor patio at La Porta. This was my third visit and all have been consistently fantastic! They absolutely have the most delicious authentic Italian Pizza I have had since in Italy! My father also was delighted with the omelette of the day. This is such a charming place for lunch!... More

Nice intimate atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. Parking can be a bit of a problem. There apparently is an "excess" lot, but unless you know where to find it, it becomes a confusing exercise on a very busy road. Best to make reservations ahead of time, as it's a popular spot.

The owners of La Porta had vision and talent: they turned a dive bar into a cozy Italian restaurant that serves up the most authentic Italian cuisine you'll get this side of the Atlantic. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is warm and intimate, decor charming, service efficient without being rushed. A real treasure for Media's residents!

When I made reservations for Valentine's Day at La Porta's, it wasn't explained that dinner would cost $79.00 per person, which is a lot more than they normally charge, and that there would be a $50.00 penalty if I had to canel. What if one of us got sick? This is a restaurant, not a doctor's office. I realize this... More
