We think this place has the best Indian food in the Philly area. We have been going here for years. Five of us went on New Year's Eve and they had their regular menu, not like others with limited selection and higher prices for the night. As always I have the Chili Chicken and the garlic Naan. Both were prepared... More

So a friend and I went for dinner here tonight and were delighted with everything. She had the goat curry and I had the chicken biryani, and we shared as both portions were large. The garlic naan was crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. The waiter was prompt and courteous, not overly familiar. The prices... More

Good value and great food with many vegetarian options. Being able to choose the level of spice/heat from 1-5 was good. Really enjoyed and would visit again if I could. Hint - order the mixed breads.

The food at this restaurant is equal or better than most higher priced places. I particularly go for the Chili Chicken, which is the "Chef's Special". You can choose the amount of heat. Excellent service. And it's BYOB.

We found Shere a few years ago and it's the restaraunt we go to the most frequently in Philadelphia. Typically we go for the lunch buffet. It has a nice assortment of Indian food, with the chicken tikka marsala as good as you'll find in the area. The tandori chicken is also noteworthy. The menu is changed frequently so there's... More

I love all Indian food. That is exactly what you'll get here. Nice cozy tables. Good place to gather with friends or a date for some delicious curry and naan bread and chutney.

This restaurant is a little pricey compared to your average Indian restaurant, but it is totally worth it because it is SO good. I've eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants and this is probably my favorite. I've been there twice now (I don't live in the area) and everything we ordered was delicious. I especially recommend the veggie pakoras and... More

Just a lovely Indian meal experience, with helpful service, too. My friend who used to live in India found it reminiscent.

I have visited this restaurant for Sunday brunch many times over the last several years with my family. We all love it, including my teenagers. Great family restaurant if your kids are willing to try Indian food. The food is terrific. The brunch value is excellent as it costs less than $60 for a family of 5. Service is always... More
