Such a GREAT find!!

I've been seeing this restaurant advertised in local papers for the last few months and the pictures looked "rustic-elegant"...just the kind of place we love! So tonight we drove to Marietta and are so glad we did! We entered through the front door which welcomes you into a wonderfully historic... read more

Heritage lovingly recovered. Beautiful job restoring a treasure. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give the ambience an 11. When you add the downstairs tavern then it is a 12. I love beer and the (hard to find locally) choices were great. There is a lot more than _____ Light here. They have beer. My wife enjoyed the... More

It's been a year since my husband and I ate in the restaurant. We came back and brought 2 of our favorite foodie friends with us and had a great time. We shared the apps: Crab rangoon and Carbonara Flatbread -- both were delicious. I had the Bouillabaisse which was perfectly done. The fish was tender but not mushy and... More

We did not have a good experience. We came very hungry our 1st mistake. We were seated promptly and greeted shortly after. After our drink order was taken I asked if we could have bread because we are very hungry. The waiter said of course, right away. We ask again when we ordered our meal and we're given the same... Julie~ I just wanted to take a minute to respond to your review of our restaurant. I do want to apologize about your experience. We strive to serve every customer with the "Golden Rule" in mind. In response to the bread issue, we do put the bread in the oven when the customer sits at the table so it will... More

Came in after reading great reviews of this restaurant on other sites. Excellent food, we had salmon tacos to die for, and probably the most tender steak ever. We ate down in the cellar bar, great craft beers- must have been a dozen or more available. Cant understand the poor reviews below, and all the reviews before 2015 were under... More

Have to review again. Joey and the staff have opened the Perry Street Cellar downstairs and the place is wonderful. The upstairs continues to amaze. Our last visit coinsided with the Marietta candlelight tour. The restaurant was overloaded and the staff was short but they still pulled it off!

I have to admit I've been to the Railroad several times over the years but must admit it's present guise is my favorite. The restaurant has been renovated to a more laid back charm with wood flooring and casual seating. The menu includes a surprisingly upscale array of choices from spiced smoke pork loin, seared duck, to autumn pasta with... More

Since we were not familiar with any of the area's restaurants, we selected the Railroad House because it was close to our inn. We were reluctant to commitment to an entree (although they all sounded good) so we ordered multiple appetizers and the crab potato chowder which was the soup du jour. What a pleasant surprise!! Each dish was absolutely... More
