Great New Restaurant

This is a new restaurant to the area which opened in January 2015. We visited in May and thoroughly enjoyed the bar area and the dining experience. We have visited Marietta for the past 3 years and this establishment was recommended by the innkeeper from the Ascot House Bed and Breakfast. We... read more

We arrived near closing time for the kitchen but that was no problems. The food was delicious and service was excellent too by a very friendly waiter.

The food was fresh, wonderfully prepared and delicious! Because they use seasonally available food I can't say that what we enjoyed so much will be on the menu if you go, but do go! From the salads and soups to the entrees to the desserts, everyone in our party of 6 was delighted. The lamb loin was perfectly prepared, the... More

Everything was fantastic. My wife who works for a local food company said "you couldn't have picked a better place." The service was tremendous and the "farm to table" food likewise. Very pleasant atmosphere. Excellent food presentation. Very nice wine and beer list as well. Home run for Mother's Day!

This new Inn is a wonderful addition to Marietta and the Lancaster area. I hosted a special College Graduation dinner here for 6.We had a outstanding experience! We all loved the decor. So appropriate for the historic building and amazing town.Steam-Punk feel and great use of color. Dinner on 3/7/15...everything was excellent. My wife and I both had the scallop wonton soup for an appetizer...unique and delicious. For my entree i had the veal porterhouse, and my wife had the crisp salmon tacos. Both were very good. The veal was cooked to perfection. I was expecting a great beer selection and it didn't disappoint...great selection of wines... More

I am wondering who wrote all of those positive reviews. We had the worst food with New York City prices -- small portions and overlooked fish. Whoever heard of Caesar salad loaded with onions and a soft boiled egg. I couldn't even bring myself to go back for a second chance (maybe just an off night?).

Joey B, Owner at Railroad House Inn, responded to this review

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience at our restaurant last weekend. It's obviously not our intention to have anyone leave while not having the best possible experience. The Caesar salad states on our menu that there is a 5 minute egg on it along with shallots, not onions. That was the intention. The fish on the other hand... More

I don’t know where to start. This place is amazing. Feels like NY City dining experience but here in Lancaster County for the fraction of the price. It is definitely upscale dining place. From the moment we walked in it felt warm and welcoming. Very well trained staff with attention to detail and great customer service. Interior of the restaurant... More

Let me start by rating the food quality, It's 5 star all the way! We ordered for appetizers mussels and duck spring rolls. The entrees were rib-eye steak and the chicken dish. Presentation was fantastic and artful. The mussels were arranged in a star burst pattern on a rectangular plate with a huge slice of bread to dip in the... More
