Amasing Place Great Food

I don’t know where to start. This place is amazing. Feels like NY City dining experience but here in Lancaster County for the fraction of the price. It is definitely upscale dining place. I am wondering who wrote all of those positive reviews. We had the worst food with New York City prices -- small portions and overlooked fish. Whoever heard of Caesar salad loaded with onions and a soft boiled egg. I couldn't even bring myself to go back for a second chance (maybe just an off night?).

Let me start by rating the food quality, It's 5 star all the way! We ordered for appetizers mussels and duck spring rolls. The entrees were rib-eye steak and the chicken dish. Presentation was fantastic and artful. The mussels were arranged in a star burst pattern on a rectangular plate with a huge slice of bread to dip in the... More

We had dinner at The Railroad House Inn and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant is in a historic hotel and is beautiful. The drink selection was good and offered a variety of options. I had the short rib and my husband had the steak frites. Both were perfectly prepared and were excellent. We had to try the truffle... More

After three visits, both business and personal, the Railroad House has not failed to deliver. Fresh local ingredients, interesting combinations, good portions and beautiful presention. Consistently good service and an eclectic beer selection combine with creative cocktails for a fun and relaxed night put in Marietta. Go now ... and bring friends!

I left the NYC area to spend a weekend in PA with a friend. While in the York area, she mentioned Railroad House Inn's restaurant in Marietta was under new management and she asked if I would want to give it a try. I am so VERY, VERY glad I did! Originally, we had planned on visiting Railroad House for... More

this place has been completely redone and is an excellent place to go for a special night out. the food is excellent, they add unique flares that might make you question a dish, but truly just order something even if your not totally sure about it as it won't be a disappointment. All the meals we ordered we were like,... More

I was so happy to learn of the reopening of the Railroad House, and after I read the reviews I knew I just had to check it out. I went this past weekend with my husband and friends, and have to say none of us were disappointed. The decor is amazing and so well done, very intimate in a fun... More

If you're looking for some GREAT food and fantastic atmosphere, then this is the place for you. Never had such tender Short Ribs in my life. Presentation of food was awesome. And the desserts, OMG! Service was outstanding. You should try it out. Very classy place for a special evening.
