great takeout deli!

This has been an institution around here for so long. We've enjoyed, large platters for party (smoked fish platters, and their cold turkey platter is amazing!). We've used them for shiva meals. We've ordered smaller catering orders for family dinner around the Jewish holidays. But we have also... read more

I ordered a pastrami sandwich over the phone to be picked up. They said it would be ready in 5 to ten minutes, which it was. The order was accurate and hot although a little fatty. The service was good. Everyone was very personable. The only downside is that they don't take credit cards. Prices are good so you don't... More

"In the Bag" provided most of the food for a party at our house. The food was excellent! We also paid a bit more to have a charming girl warm and serve appitizers and sandwiches. She was a great help! The whole party went smoothly, largely due to suggestions made by the owner regarding food. They delivered the food and... More

I'm kinda picky and really appreciate homemade food. They use quality ingredients, and you can tell. I LOVE their soups and salads, but when I have ordered a corned beef special, it was at least 5" piled high with meat. Outstanding! I adore the "smoking salad," (or something) smoked meats and cheeses -- delish! Yes, they don't accept credit cards... More

I recently ordered several sandwiches for take-out and it turns out they do not take credit or debit cards. It's 2013 people! So make sure you're carrying a large sum of cash to pay for it at the register. If they were smart, they'd pay the 3% fee to the credit card companies for each purchase and make a lot... More

This is a great place to go for deli, sandwiches, and other items. They can be a bit pricey, but the food is worth it. Call ahead if you want to pick up a lot of stuff so you don't have to wait. They also deliver.
