Nice setting and tasty food, just wish I could have tried more (they do have a tasting menu during the week). The pappardelle with wild boar ragu was very good. I loved the cucumber-mint-vodka cocktail: So refreshing! Looking forward to going back.

The food is alway top notch at Alba. When they opened it was a BYOB. When they got a license the corkage fee was $10. Now that they are popular, the corkage fee is $20. That's crazy, more than the cost of the pasta entrees!!!

When I first reviewed Alba, over six (6) years ago now, this bustling BYOB restaurant was just a few months old and already in the process of becoming one of the Main Line’s hottest meal tickets. Craig LaBan of the Philadelphia Inquirer had bestowed his coveted imprimatur, every foodie within reasonable commuting distance was storming the gates, and chef/proprietor Sean... More

Dinner with my wife. Small. cozy rooms. Our waitress, Floria, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She dDid excellent job describing the many specials. I had the hanger steak that was cook just the way I asked. It was delicious. My wife had the Brurndizzi..She said it was the best she ever had. It was cooked in the wood fire oven.... More

We just returned from a trip to South America. On our last night, I had an excellent rib eye steak dinner. This past weekend I also had a rib eye at Alba - the steak at Alba was better! Moreover, I've been to Alba before, and it is consistently wonderful. Steak, duck, pasta (house-made) beet salad, etc. It was all... More

This is a wonderful restaurant for so many reasons. The dining rooms offer superb locally grown or locally sourced food that is a bit pricey, served in rather understated elegance. The bar area offers great bar food at very reasonable rates- either way, you can't go wrong. The wine list is extensive and the wait staff know what they are... More

A long overdue review, as we have been dining here since Alba opened as a small BYO-only place over eight years ago. Now it has expanded, added a bar and full wine service (with BYO still permitted), and it has not lost the personal touch and magical feel it had when it first opened. Chef Sean Weinberg and his wife... More

Absolutely charming; small-town elegance! We enjoy eating here regularly and are always welcomed personally by the friendly waitstaff, managers and bartenders. Food is creative, ingredients are locally-sourced when possible, and the hand-crafted cocktails and Italian wine list are super. Highly recommended.

Dined at Alba for dinner with friends. We started with the 5-piece bruschette, which was excellent, and we thought we were in for a top notch night. Were we ever wrong. On this night, they were offering a rib-eye special, and 3 of us took the bait. Well, bait would have been tastier. The steak was salty, full of gristle,... More

Stopped in on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. Great food menu with inexpensive sandwiches and a good selection of beer and wine by the glass. It was a very easy in and out to get downtown for a concert! Will try it again soon.
