Not Really a "Diner," but Real Good Food

Classic Diner is more of a restaurant than a diner. By that I mean, if you want just a quick, inexpensive, standard breakfast, you'd be better served by going to Nudi's or Friendly's. If you want a special twist on your eggs, pancakes, French Toast, and sides,. Classic is your place. A very good... read more

Large servings but excellent food. I had banana pancakes with walnuts, which were great and my husband had sweet potato French toast which was delicious too!

People were telling us we just had to experience this place because it was the best diner in the area. Either their idea of what a diner is supposed to be is different than mine or Classic Diner is trying to revolutionize the term diner to mean overpriced and pretentious food. Went in, sat down, were ignored for a bit... More

We stopped here the morning after visiting Longwood Gardens Christmas extravaganza. Lots of positive reviews, and, justifiably so. Well kept place, but not exactly my idea of a diner. This borders on restaurant quality. Our breakfasts were nicely prepared and tasty. I have eaten at many diners, and this "diner" was no better than many I have visited. The big... More

The tables are close and the space is tight, but ALL of the food is good. I love the chicken salad club with the home made potato chips. The portions are more than generous. The service is expeditious and the servers are polite. You won't go wrong eating here. Expect a wait if you arrive at 12pm for lunch. The... More

You must try a pancake you can order one and share so you get to experience the rest of the menu. Omelettes are excellent, French toast and breakfast sandwich so far on my palette. Get there early on the weekend or expect to wait. Weekdays are not a problem. Enjoy. You may not be able to eat dinner if you... More

After you've tried eggs benedict here you are spoiled forever. Everything they prepare is a cut above. And they are very accommodating and will substitute whatever you want. I am on a low carb diet and they changed the potatoes and toast for asparagus. My husband had the carbs and said they were great. This place serves the best breakfasts... More

I love this place! My boss and I used to do take out every other week. Breakfast for lunch sometimes. Everything on the breakfast and the linch menu is fresh and delicious. Best blt I've ever had. period. Its pricey but worth it. Only thing I don't love is the potatoes with the omelettes. Actually they suck. But the omelette... More

Tried this place for the first time in November. Colleagues of mine raved about it. There's always a large crowd here at lunch time, so I figured that I'd give it a shot. Found the menu to be expansive with a variety of options both common and unusual. Food was great and arrived quickly. Overall, it's a great place for... More

I read so many reviews and I was so excited to try it. The restaurant is quaint, the staff is super friendly, the portions are large. But the prices are ridiculous and the owner should be ashamed charging them. $6.50 for a side of bacon? You can buy a whole package of uncured high quality bacon for that. And for... More
