We hope for the return of the Buckeye

It was so very sad to learn of the fire at the Buckeye. This is a historic tavern, going back to the late 18th century, a coach stop between Bethlehem and Reading. There was great food and great service.

I was sad to find out about the fire upon my return from vacation in May. We are looking forward to Buckeye's return after the rebuild. This restaurant is fantastic. Great Food, Great Service, Great People. The atmosphere was just live an old barn which made the tavern feel. Looking forward to it's return. Not the same as Alburtis Tavern.

What a shame. This historic building was irreplaceable. The owner put his heart and soul into it. Please visit his other restaurant, the Alburtis Tavern. I like it!

The Buckeye Tavern burned down last week. The owners say they may rebuild but how do you rebuild an establishment that was first built in the early 1700's.

Stopped for dinner on Thursday night. Was the bbq night, could see smoker going, smelled bbq as we walked, mouth was watering before I sat down. Wait staff was great, cute decor, but when best thing I ate was sweet potato steak fries there's a problem. Maybe it's me, maybe I expect my ribs to be fall off the bone... More

My brother chose this restaurant for our dinner get together. The reservation was made for 6 , that includes my niece , her boyfriend, my brother and his wife and myself and my husband. We were seated upstairs. The waiter was very efficient and professional. I ordered my typical drink and it was very good. The menu had everything, including... More

We had a family birthday there on Sunday March 22. We ordered their homemade chips with blue cheese and soup for appetizers. Chips excellent. Onion Soup so so. Somebody order the enormous roast beef sandwich, which was good and some others order the quesadillas and they were awesome with huge pieces of chicken and we could not eat it all.... More

We went here due to the advice of the desk clerk at our hotel. Our dining experience was excellent. Our server was friendly and helpful, the food was very good and portions large. The atmosphere was excellent and the price very reasonable.

Very good food. Good drinks, little small inside. Summertime outside on the patio is great. Service is always good. The steak salad is very good. As is the appetizer sampler platter

When it takes 20 minutes just to get drinks and 90 minutes to get an average burger would anything else about the place matter? Wrong orders and complaints make stuff just roll thier eyes. It wasn't even a busy time. Save your money and time and go anyplace else.
