I gregory grookett when here one time for breakfast with my girlfriend I got your typical scrambled eggs scrapple hash browns. The eggs had no flavor to him nor did the hash browns. The waitress look like we were bothering her the whole time and that she wanted us to leave. It was breakfast rush hour the place is old... More

We had a great inexpensive family breakfast in the morning after our work at Das Awkscht Fescht. It was right across the street so great for convenience. The service was friendly and great! The food was tasty. They had other options i didn't expect like pita and feta cheese which are alway awesome! Also the atmosphere has very classic American... More

New owners took over a family owned operation. In the past this was a quirky, campy, old-time diner. Soups, sandwiches, and breakfast were very good for the price. Now, it's a characterless, bland nothing. Most staff members are barely alive - apparently smiling is not permitted. The walls are barren - no atmosphere whatsoever. The menus are typed on plain... It is a traditional diner. Lots of fried food and unhealthy ways to eat healthy things. Not as good as other area diners like Starlite or Superior. It is a bit dated and a bit Dutchy. Not bad for breakfast but better choices out there for lunch or dinner.

Every year when we take in the "Wheels of Time", Bear Swamp is our lunch place. The waitress was funny...we like spirited servers! The fare is typical diner food. My husband always gets a burger and enjoys it; I get a wrap because they are served with pierogy. If you like the classic diner experience, then definitely try Bear Swamp!

You can do better at your own kitchen even if you are no good cook. Burgers are dripping of oil, sometimes orders are not to the tee. One particular loud waitress and one is rude. They know your face if you are a regular so you mostly get your usual. Anyway I would rather stick with my usual than expect... More

This sizable place in "downtown" Macungie serves dependably tasty diner food at very reasonable prices. There are usually four or five homemade soups on the blackboard menu, and they are good. Dinners -- except for a few high-end items like lobster tail -- are priced at ten bucks or less and include soup or salad and a side dish. The... More

It is your basic diner. Good food. You get sides, salad and desert with most entrees. I've seen revues complaining about the service. I haven't had a problem , but I know the Greek owner is hard on them. The value is very good. Some customers are very rude also!!!

The staff are very rude. I just moved to Macungie and my husband, our 3 month old daughter at the time and I were checking out where we could eat breakfast. We both love diner food so we thought let's give it a try. Well, first of all it was packed and they seated us in a tiny booth with... More
