Surprised and Satisfied

We've always steered clear of this venue, feeling a bit out our comfort zone, being casually dressed for white linen service. Not the case. The patio is hopping on the weekends, and the wait can be in excess of 30 minutes. We opted for inside dining on a humid evening. The menu is reasonably... read more

Being from out of town, we were looking for a place to eat lunch after attending Sunday worship at the Lititz Moravian Church.Someone at the church had recommended the General Sutter Inn. Lunch was being served on the patio rather than in the dining room. I had the Scotch Eggs and Pear/Walnut Salad; my husband had the barbecue sandwich. Everything... More

I held a party for my husband at the General Sutter Inn. It was wonderfully staged. The setting is lovely, the room holds close to a hundred guests so we were not crowded (60 guests in our party). I worked with Jeff Merk who provided everything I asked for and knew the exact amount of food needed for dinner ect.... More

This is becoming our favorite restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food is superb. You can splurge on an upscale entree, or go more casual with the pub fare.

We were a group of 8 and every restaurant's nightmare - several of us with food allergies and special needs. Our server was patient and kind and double-checked with the chef several times to be sure menu items were safe for those with issues. The food was very good. I ordered a full portion of the special beet salad. I... More

We had a pleasant lunch here. We were glad there were umbrella on the outdoor patio. Service was friendly but slow; fortunately we were happy to relax and weren't in a hurry. Very good chicken and leek pie and pulled pork sandwiches. Overall very nice, would definitely return.

I flew into Lancaster Airport for work and borrowed the courtesy car to make a trip here for a bite to eat. I was very impressed with the town on the drive in. When we arrived we entered through the Bulls Head entrance and were both taken back by the atmosphere of the place. When we entered the Restaurant we... More

You are aware that Lititz has been declared one of the coolest little towns in America? Well it is true. Well, they also have a cool historica Inn/Hotel called the General Sutter Inn. We eat there periodically and are never disappointed. Last week we had dinner in the main dining room and enjoyed it again very much. I had their... More

We attended the special murder mystery dinner. The food was very much average. The show was slightly better. The mystery itself was very good, with the exception of the actor who read many of his lines. We will probably go to one of the many shows in the area, in the future

Food was ok, but not hot as it should have been. Restaurant was not very clean. Staff was friendly, but could not find someone when you needed them. And place was not that busy at the time we were there.
