We came for the Beer School Dinner. It was a four course meal, with each course paired with a different beer. All the courses were excellent. The portion sizes seemed small at first, but by the end of the meal we were filled up. Lot of unique selections. Reasonablely priced, good service.

We had an amazing dinner in the upper bar area - the filet was wonderful. The bartender Kathy was so nice and personable. Everyone else at the bar were so nice and it made me feel like "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. We will definitely be back!

The General Sutter Inn has so much to offer that it should really be in a class by itself. From the patio dining area, to the Murder Mystery dinners, to the absolutely amazing Rock Lititz penthouse rooms, this establishment sets the bar very, very high. With the Bulls Head Pub connected to it, I could easily move in and never... More

I don't know where to start Jeff and the staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make it a very special day. Everytime we visited to talk about the wedding we were treated like royalty. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The dinning room was beautiful and the food outstanding. The room that the bride and groom stayed... More

On a beautiful day, chose this spot due to the lovely outdoor seating--sort of an alfresco, upscale beer garden. Menu was nice--nachos were tasty even though they were really homemade potato chips with cheese and bacon. But, and here is the big but, it was painfully slow. How in the world could it take an hour to make a salad... More

The staff at the General Sutter Inn earned their stars the day we visited. Early in the day, they helped with reservations and gave us good advice for parking options later in that evening. During our meal, Timothy, was delightfully patient with some of the older members of our group, answering all their questions with sincere kindness and understanding. The... More

We had a really good meal at the General Sutter Inn this past weekend. Two if us had the pear and walnut salad, which was really, really good. We also had filet mignon, the seafood cioppino, lobster roll and the chicken and leek pie....everything was delicious! The nice part about this place is that you can also get the Pub... More

I've been to Ireland and didn't come across any shepherd's pie that was close to this wonderful dish at the General's. I even asked for the recipe, and they gave me the ingredients. I can do the measurements myself. The setting is lovely, historic, with all the look that goes with that. next door is a lively pub, but we... More
