We ate at the General Sutter Inn for lunch the day we purchased our new car. We had never been here for a meal, even though we frequently come to Lititz. Well let me just say, the atmosphere in the restaurant is just perfect. Lighting, ambiance, decor, it all favors one another. The food is also very delicious. My wife... More

I met a friend here for dinner. Lovely entranceway with a fire in the fireplace. I was thrilled to see sausage rolls on the menu for starters. They were excellent and a perfect size to share. We had fish and chips for our main course, and it was so-so. The rest of the menu looks very inviting, and if I... More

We decided to spend our Valentines Day dinner at the General Sutter because we normally have such a wonderful time there. They only had a 9:00 reservation, but we decided to take it because we knew it would be worth the wait. When we arrived the lobby was so crowded and chaotic we could barely fit. We checked in twice... More

We were here a few years ago, and this was a top-of-the-line fine dining restaurant. The inn has moved very much more toward the bar crowd. The menu includes less expensive things, and we had a couple tables near us with families with kids that were a bit noisy. The bar was very crowded with lots of people having good... More

Wish we had a better experience. We went right after Christmas on a Thurs night, and it wasn't totally full, and for 4 people the dinner took over 2 and a half hours. Why? We could almost never catch our waiter's attention. We had to flag down 2 separate other staff just to get a fourth silverware setting (after appetizers... More

In the past, I have been very underwhelmed but the last couple of times have been much better. On this visit I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with a cup of curried Butternut squash soup. Both were very good. The young man who served us was very efficient and friendly.

The menu here was dreamy for a vegetarian. I had the best salad with pine nuts, arogala, and all manner of greens, the dressing was fresh and delectable. This was the only restaurant opened late on a Sat night, and was a welcomed place to stop for a break during our evening walk in the winter snowstorm. This is more... More

The pork shank I ordered and the scallops my wife had were delicious, however the portions were small. Everything is ala carte from the $6.50 weak drinks to the $7.50 small piece of pie.Service was good and nice atmosphere. Warning: bring plenty of money!

We enjoyed the food and menu so much at the pub that we decided to try the restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed the cheese plate, burgers, and chicken and leek pie. The service was excellent. Very nice dinner experience in Lititz.
