I want to love this local place. Want there for the third time and my last time, unless for take out. It's awkward when you enter.. The host has to go around you to get the menu, needs a better layout. My hubby and I enter and two waitresses walk right by, no smile no hello, nothing. Wasn't sure if... More

Lansdale's "Cheers". Great food, friendly bartenders and the regulars. Been going there for years...never disappointed in food or service.

Recently took a friend to the Sumney and could not wait to leave. We came in for a lunch around 1PM and there were a good number of people at the bar and a few tables of diners. We waited to be seated and waited. Finally a waitress who was vacuuming the floor walked by with the vacuum and we... More

We frequent the Sumney several times a year, enjoying their lunch and dinner presentations. Unfortunately, it has been years since the last time we savored the Sunday buffet. I'll get to the food and service but the ultimate treat is VALUE. Nowhere in this vicinity, excluding the Sumney, can you enjoy an all-you-can-eat (and unlimited soft beverage drink) buffet for... Have been here many times, for brunch which is delicious and offers many choices, lunch and dinner. The bar is cozy and they have entertainment on weekends which makes it a fun time, as people are friendly and service is very good:)

This is a great local place. The food is good and the staff are super nice. We love Mike the bartender. We usually sit at the bar and eat. I have been told they do a great brunch on Sundays but we have yet to try it out.

We have enjoyed many meals at The Sumney Tavern over the years (more than 15). Our consistent returning should, at the outset, relate our positive feelings about The Sumney. Most often we have savored the Sunday brunch which is a bargain at, currently, $12. Their brunch is an "all you can eat" affair including your choice of omelet, juice, SOS,... More

Was in the area and stopped for lunch. Probably wouldn't go back, Tables very close. Had Shrimp Bisque soup, it had more thickener in it than anything else. Other sandwiches were just OK. $60.00 for 3 people. Interior reminds me of the 70's, that was the last time the menus were replaced or cleaned.

We mostly go for brunch...reasonable and delic food! Scones, irish oatmeal, made to order omelettes...you won't be disappointed. The food is hearty and yummy and everyone is friendly. The coffee is the best around too!
