This place needs a remodel! Food is ok. The decor and the menu is still in the 70's. Staff does a good job with with they have to work with.

We visit the Sumney Tavern often with our last visit just before Valentine's Day. The new menu items round out a very extensive menu. The food is always well done and the portions are more than adequate. My wife had the salmon and I had the meatloaf and both were excellent.

The Sumney Tavern is known for its hamburgers and homemade chips and they serve them exactly the way you want them. I have had these a few times for lunch and was more than pleased. This week I tried their grilled cheese, bacon and tomato sandwich on rye toast and it was the best. You will also notice the excellent... More

Sumney has a great bar staff and average bar food. We have had a few meals that were really not great. However I would go there and eat a burger at the bar and enjoy appetizers love the staff.

Went here for a work lunch. Waiter was very pleasant. Choice of sandwich and soup combos. The potato soup was alright but I have had better. BLT sandwich was good but could have had more tomatoes. Overall average food but very pleasant wait staff.

Why pay more than double at the William Penn Inn when you can save a ton and have most of the same items at the Sumney's Sunday Brunch. The omelette and Belgium waffle stations are well stacked with choices. Enjoyable atmosphere with a fire place.

Good food....affordable prices and nice atmosphere. We stopped later at night for a bite, and the service and quality of food was very good.

Restaurant has been thru a couple different owners but the current ones have kept up the good food and service. It is what we call our neighborhood restaurant. Also I worked at Merck and we named it "Building 97" because we could walk from our Merck parking lot to the restaurant and many of us did. Their "Reuben" is to... More
