I first visited this place sometime in the fall. I was really put off by it, because I saw one of the managers berating a young waitress in front of me and a full bar. Having waited tables in college, I emphasized and felt uncomfortable. The food also wasn't good and for an Irish pub they had a pretty sad... More

I worked in the garden all morning and was famished. I'm walking into the pub and my buddy, Ray, is coming out. He starts raving about the shrimp and scallop bisque and the corned beef special. So I try it. Awesome is all I can say. You get the soup and half a sandwich for $8.95. It was served in... More

We ordered an Irish fish n chips n some drinks... The food was not great... The fish which was deep fried tasted mostly of the covering used to fry it.. Though the quantity was a lot but I wasn't impressed by the quality.. Service was good... Staff was courteous... But overall experience was not good...

We eat here about once a month and have always had a good experience. The food is excellent and there is a wide variety to choose from on the menu. We enjoy looking at the vintage pictures throughout the restaurant.

I have been here twice and both times enjoyed the food, staff and patrons. We sat at the bar both times. Not sure why the bartender cooks the burgers but it adds a little something. First time we were there we ate and headed back to hotel to find the fire department on the roof and a out 7 trucks... More

Our old watering hole past into history, and we need a new one. Our first visit to Sumney Tavern was a delight. Sumney consists of a fair sized bar and a nice dining room with a little side room for private parties. Grille located right behind the bar for lighter fair and a separate full kitchen for more substantial fixings.... More

This place needs a remodel! Food is ok. The decor and the menu is still in the 70's. Staff does a good job with with they have to work with.

We visit the Sumney Tavern often with our last visit just before Valentine's Day. The new menu items round out a very extensive menu. The food is always well done and the portions are more than adequate. My wife had the salmon and I had the meatloaf and both were excellent.

The Sumney Tavern is known for its hamburgers and homemade chips and they serve them exactly the way you want them. I have had these a few times for lunch and was more than pleased. This week I tried their grilled cheese, bacon and tomato sandwich on rye toast and it was the best. You will also notice the excellent... More
