The left side of the restaurant is a dark, bar like atmosphere, and still has the stale smoke stench lingering. The right side is bright and sunny and the better choice of where to be seated. It's one thing to go into a place and expect typical diner food, but it's another when the booths smell like stinky old cleaning... More

I love the food and the servers are always nice. It gets very loud late at night on weekends...teenagers and 20-somethings hangout here like it's their underage "bar" and have very little consideration for anyone else there. The staff doesn't seem to do anything about it. I'm not "elderly" or even close, but I do like going here later at... More

I have been coming here for years for breakfast. We usually get good service and coffee almost immediately after being seated. Their breakfast specials are good, down home cooking at very good prices. I look forward to coming here when I want breakfast out.

My new family (locals in the area) said that if you're hungry for a certain kind of diner fare, this was the place, and it was the only local place (other than Denny's) that's open 24 hours. So we tried it here. Suggested: the potato soup, which was thick and delicious (although the waitress who was pretty good told us... More

I had tried this diner several years ago and the food was terrible, but thinking it may have gotten better over the years, we stopped here on the way to New Jersey after picking up my fiance's parents who flew into Phila.from Jamaica. Host greeted us half-heartedly, looked around for a table when there was a nice large booth right... More

Took awhile to be greeted by our server & we were so rushed by her, it was like we were bothering her. Wrong drink order, wrong toast, never checked back, couldn't get us out of there fast enough. It was totally obvious she would rather sit in the booth across the restaurant chatting than wait on us. I've been in... More

I had a very nice lunch at the GAD. After a three hour drive, I needed some good food and quick service. I was seated promptly. My waitress, Laina, greeted me quickly and took my order. My soda and chicken and rice soup came out real quick. My pastrami sandwich came out soon after. The soup and sandwich were very... More

We went out to eat for New Years Eve and started out at Red Lobster. They were mobbed and had a 1 hr 45 min wait. So we left and went to the Pub. The food was only "ok". Our server was wonderful. We were a party of 7. Others in our party enjoyed their meals. My husband and I... More

We stopped by this diner since it was convenient to the veterinary hospital. We waited patiently for anyone to ask us for a beverage or food order. It was if we did not not exist. There were only a few customers in our area at 10am, so it was not busy. There were several employees talking in the distance across the... More

The Great American is central to I-95 and the Turnpike, and an easy trip for my friends in Bucks, Philadelphia, and Jersey. As a result, I had my birthday party there last night. Literally the worst meal I have ever been served, including during my time in the Army. The spoon stood up in the Cream of Chicken soup. I... More
