Low price for low quality

I only eat at this place because my dad likes it so much. The food is cheaply prepared and not always good. If you do decide to eat here, the best food is the creamed chipped beef and the best bread is the rye. Their baked oatmeal is pretty good as well. I would steer clear of the fruit!!! I... read more

A break from today's more modern fast food chains and fake "retro style", but not original, silk city diners. Lots of choices on their menu. We really... More

Have never had anything I didn't like. Small town type restaurant. Prices are great. Kitchen is small so sometimes a back up on grill, but that's part of the small town feel.

Asking three times for a glass of water is ridiculous - and absolutely no apologies!? Incredibly long wait to get our breakfasts, and no apologies for the long wait, either. Our waitress clearly had other things on her mind. Once the food did arrive, it was very good. Charged incorrectly for my meal. Needless to say, we won't be returning... More

It has been a while since I have had an experience quite like this one- I thought "How bad could it be- for breakfast? But, I was wrong. The first thing you notice is the smell. They need some serious attention to the bathroom plumbing or something! My goodness- and it sneaks up on you! It took the waitress more... More

I use to enjoy the Salunga Diner. Things have changed! I will never go back after my last experience. Waitresses were rude. They were busy talking to each other and not checking to see if we needed anything. We were almost finished with our meal before she came over to refill our coffee mugs, and that was after several attempts... More

Typical truck stop-style food. Don't waste your time.

Went here for the first time today. Sign said seat yourself, so we did. A "hostess" came to the table and said "did you need menus". Uh...yes. She brought us menus and said the waitress would be right with us. There were a total of 5 other people in the restaurant. Two people were done eating and were leaving. One... More
