Overall, this is a standard but good Mexican place. It's reasonably priced and almost everything is a combination of tortilla, rice, beans, meat, etc. I would suggest the fajitas, they were very good and I enjoyed leftovers the next day. The warm chips and salsa are a nice appetizer, especially since we were hungry. I had a mango margarita at... More

First time at El Rodeo in Lancaster and my wife an I liked it a lot. The starter chips and salsa were very good. It's always nice when the chips are served warm. We then had the table side made to order fresh guacamole which was awesome!! My wife had the shrimp and cheese enchiladas with cheese sauce instead of... More

When we come to visit the Lancaster area we always go to El Rodeo to get some of the best Mexican food. This time as always I ordered a Chiles Rellenos and it comes out and it has not been battered with an egg batter and fried. I had a green chili with cheese inside and laying on the plate,... More

The first problem is trying to find the entrance. Tables and chairs for outdoor seating were blocking what we supposed the front entrance--one door said to use the other door. At a bit before noon on a Thursday the place had only two other tables that were occupied. That should tell you something. No other diners arrived while we were... More

Though we arrived shortly before closing time on a Sunday evening, our waitress was friendly and helpful. The fresh-made guacamole was outstanding and was served in a genuine volcanic stone molcajete. The rest of the food was very good.

We visited El Rodeo for a dinner with our relatives. We had been here several times previously and found things basically the same. This restaurant is part of a chain of restaurants in southcentral Pennsylvania. We arrived for dinner, and were greeted by the hostess as soon as we entered. We were seated immediately. The restaurant has a fairly extensive... More

Came here on a Wednesday night, half an hour before closing, we walked in and asked if they were still serving (as no on acknowledged us when we first walked in) and the hostess finally looked up and happily said yes. We were seated towards to kitchen, given good complimemtary salsa and chips and food came out fairly promptly. The... More

We went here as a family of 5 and the bill was reasonable -- less than $35. The menu is HUGE and can be overwhelming if you're not sure what you're looking for. My wife got the grande dinner and I got the enchiladas supremas -- my meal was very good, but I was jealous of hers. This had everything... More
