I eat here a lot... And I love it. It's my favorite Mexican restaurant in town! That said, the quality will usually pretty good can be hot or miss. Sometime my quesadilla has extra stuff in it, sometimes not (I prefer not!) sometimes the chicken is shredded, sometimes it's not (I prefer shredded!) the rice, is sometimes very flavorful, sometimes... Stopped here hoping a small local place might serve decent mexican food. Disappointed. Service was poor, never brought chips or salsa until meal was served after I asked for them Salsa was tasteless seemed right out of a can. Food was not even warm but prices were pretty good. They were not busy so I'm surprised the service was so... More

Though we always enjoy meals at El Rodeo, lunch is our favorite: Not as busy and the portions are full sized but only a fraction of the regular price. The salsa is too chunky for my liking, but the flavor is delicious. The chicken chimichangas are delightful as is the fajita dish with fresh pineapple!

First time here from out of town. Place looked nice from the outside, & inside for that matter. Salsa was good, chips were good, but the guacamole we ordered was a little bland. Got the huevoes con chorizo. Was just ok. Could've used more flavor. Didn't taste like a homemade chorizo to me. Rice & beans were decent but probably... More

First of all the place was dark and kind of dingy looking. And there was sticky stuff on my menu. Ordered the 'special' Margarita, however it tasted pretty ordinary to me...and a bit watery (on the rocks). Ordered the Chile Verde with rice and beans. They forgot to bring out the tortillas, but they were delivered immediately upon reminding them.... More

We ordered the shrimp over dirty rice (with squash and avocado). Proabaly the best shrimp meal that my husband has ever ordered. I ordered the chicken chimichanga (deep fried). It was excellent, as always.

I have NEVER taken the time to write a restaurant review; however, I must share my previous and LAST visit. I found canned chicken in my chimichanga. Disgusting! The restaurant used to be decent but recently has gone downhill. My husband orders the fajitas and enjoys them, they obviously cannot use canned chicken in this dish. I gather they figure... More

Overall, this is a standard but good Mexican place. It's reasonably priced and almost everything is a combination of tortilla, rice, beans, meat, etc. I would suggest the fajitas, they were very good and I enjoyed leftovers the next day. The warm chips and salsa are a nice appetizer, especially since we were hungry. I had a mango margarita at... More
