You pay for the ambiance.

This restaurant has been around for I think 52 years. It is fine dinning at it's best. The service was good and since we got there at opening, we were the only ones eating. We had rib eye steak and prime rib. Both were cut it with a fork tender. It is a little expensive but worth it to treat... read more

The Stock Yard Inn is a delightful restaurant with an exceptional wait staff. There are several dinning areas in the building , one for formal dining and one for casual dining in what is called the bar area. We have eaten in both and would not hesitate to bring quests to either side.Upon request, the wait staff will gladly give... More

My brother and sister-in-law and I have had dinner at the Stockyard Inn on my last three visits from CA. I love this place! They always ask for a table in the smaller dining room, which is more intimate with a pleasant ambience. My nephew joined us this time and we had a most delightful evening. One thing I like... More

For some reason we had pretty much overlooked Stockyard as a local establishment. I was in the mood for steak and figured we would check it out now that the massive road construction in front of their place was over. Frankly, I felt sorry for them having to endure such extended disruption to traffic and thought it would be a... More

My husband and I wanted to visit after a trip to Amish country. We arrived early, and asked to be seated in the bar area, since we weren't dressed for the main dining area. The venue is a lovely house situated in what was an original Stockyard. The photos throughout were very interesting I ordered a special with filet and... More

Took my wife here for her birthday. She had been here for an event some years ago; me, first time. My only response is Wow. The service was excellent and the food even better. I had snapper soup for appetizer, served with sherry...simply amazing. She and a salad. We both had a petite filet, her's with a crab cake mine... More

My husband and I finally went to the Stockyard Inn Steakhouse and we were thrilled with our entire dining experience!!! I have not been here in about 30 years. I remember back "then" the Stockyard Inn was known for their beef and seafood meals and that is still the case today. Our meal was superb! Everything was fresh, piping hot... More

I remembered the Stockyard Inn as the place to go for great steaks (many years ago). Talked my hubby into stopping there a few months ago; this was a mistake. The steak was average at best and overpriced. Wait staff's attitude was not conducive to the meal experience. Will not return.

Everything we had was terrific, both in quality, taste and presentation. Certainly costs more than outback, but I've not had a better meal. Even splurged for a bottle of wine - the selection was great. Service was 5 star & the atmosphere as well. Fully recommend treating the family for a visit.

The menu is standard and a bit high priced for Lancaster. The calamari starter was good but the main dishes were quite average. A glass of red wine was $9.50, a glass of belgian white beer was $8.50. The Delmonico steak special was $41 and served with kale, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. Not impressive. It had a lot... More
