If you knew me...you would know I love food. Good food. Even more so...I love restaurants with history that look like they were or could be somone's house. The Stockyard Inn meets BOTH of those criteria. I had the large prime rib and turlte soup. My wife had crab cakes and risotto. Both meals were AWESOME. Maybe some of the... More

A great place to dine. The beef was cooked to perfection, the salad was cold and fresh, the ambiance was charming and the wine list was extensive. Reading the history on the menu back makes one travel back in time to more rustic times.

In our limited experience here in the Lancaster area, we definitely regard Stockyard Inn the top venue for fine dining. The decor brings elegance, the ambience is soothing, and the food is superb. Reservations are strongly recommended. That said, Mrs Too and I never call ahead. The first time we dined here, there was a big wedding party upstairs, and... More

Drove past this place all the time taking our daughter to F&M College and always wanted to stop but never did. My wife and I were staying overnight in Lancaster and I said "I know where we are going to eat" and so we finally made it to the stockyard. It was a Wed. night and not crowded at all... More

My friend ordered a "dry Manhattan with a twist of lemon on the rocks" . A standard Manhattan, with a cherry, was served, up. When he complained, an on the rocks Manhattan, again with red, not white, vermouth was served, with a lemon wedge. My "signature snapper soup" was way salty, with some very hard things in it. My tenderloin... More

We loved the food at Stockyard. Excellent quality. The ambiance is beautiful. There were different rooms and each had its own charm. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you like quality food. I had crab cakes with colosal crab in each bite and my husband had blackened salmon. He loved it and is not even a big salmon lover.

My wife and I went to the Stockyard Inn for the first time on Valentine's Day. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I can honestly say that this was one of the best meals we've ever had! I had the filet mignon and lobster tail, and my wife had the petite prime rib. Everything was delicious.... More

After reading many of the reviews on here I was a bit hesitant to try this restaurant. Took my wife here last night for her birthday and was very pleased. The atmosphere was very pleasant, our waiter could not have been better, but most importantly the food was wonderful. My wife had the prime rib and she said it was... More

I don't know how this restaurant (and several others listed on this site) can get 4 stars ! It is not even in the same league as The Belvedere, John Jeffries, Checkers or several other very good eateries in Lancaster. The old "Lancaster Pallet" strikes again. The Loft, Stockyard, Lombardo's all are restaurants of the past but survive off of... More

New Year's Eve dinner. This was our 3rd visit so we knew we needed to make reservations and to request the room we wanted to dine in. We were seated within 5-10 minutes. The hosted then returned and asked if we would move to their upstairs dining so they could accommodate a handicap that could not walk up the stairs, we... More
