best spaghetti in town

We love Valentino's. They serve the best spaghetti in town. The sauce recipe has been handed down over three generations in this tiny bar and restaurant on Lancaster's west side. Great for families, friends and kids. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a great plate of spaghetti.

Worst Italian food we have ever eaten. Salad was okay but the eggplant parmigiana was so breaded it was hard to find the eggplant. The spaghetti served on the same plate looked like it had been cooked much earlier and sat like an ugly glob on the plate. The tomato sauce was tasteless, I make much better at home and... More

Best Spaghetti and meatball dinner in Lancaster County! Good place to come as you are: jeans, shorts, or dressed up. Family buisiness that treats all like family. Have been coming here since the the 1980's. Many good memories and always wonderful food and drink. So glad they no longer allow smoking. a place we have brought all our children, now... More

Great, local tucked away place. Not a four star restaurant by any means but great homemade dishes. Absolutely love their "Turkey Balls" which is like Thanksgiving dinner all rolled up into a ball. Laid back, come as you are staff and patrons. One of a kind Groundhog Day celebration, too, for the young at heart and drinking and parade enthusiasts.... More

Wonderful experience! All homemade Italian food and tasted great! I had the spaghetti and meatball meal and garlic toast. Service was attentative and quick. It's a small single room eatery but it is perfext, you really feel at home.

Talk about tradition: Valentino's, our neighborhood family cafe, last year celebrated its 75th anniversary with a big outdoor party. We have friends in FL and MA who, when they come to Lancaster to visit us, want to go there first thing! Very good simple food at honest prices in a homey, comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff and friendly diners, mostly... More

Valentinos is one of those places that only the locals know about. The building houses a bar and a restaurant in separate rooms. Never having been in the bar, I can't write about that portion. However, the restaurant Is great. It has a good selection of meals. The spaghetti dinner is excellent, and the portions are huge (order the small,... More

Had chicken pot pie this Wednesday. Tastes like home made. Lots of chicken, home made dumplings. Huge servings -- had enough for lunch the next day. Salads are always crisp and fresh. Can't beat their prices. Best value in town! (Note: like many old-fashioned family-owned restaurants, they don't take credit cards -- bring cash!) We eat here at least 3... More

Great little bar/restaurant in Lancaster. Not the least bit fussy, but has good food, nice portions at reasonable prices!

A classic neighborhood bar, with a loyal, friendly patronage, equally friendly staff, and way above average food at blue collar prices. Italian dishes are the specialty, but hard to go wrong no matter what you order. Unpretentious, super casual, and very family friendly on the restaurant side, yet a lively bar scene on the other side. A great, cheap happy... More
