Worst Lasagna Ever!

My wife and I were part of a group of friends out for a Saturday evening dinner. Our reservation was for 6:00, but when we arrived, we had to wait because our table had been given to someone else. When everyone in our group had been served but me, the waitress indicated that she would go to find... read more

Having established a Christmas Eve tradition several years ago of eating at Lombardo's, we took friends with us this year. It's not always easy finding a place open on Christmas Eve but Lombardo's traditionally has seating available until 6 p.m. Like we have for many years, our friends thoroughly enjoyed the food here. We enjoyed appetizers of mozzarella frittos (homemade),... More

This type of Italian food is why the cuisine came to be known as heavy, and why the menu doesn't seem to have changed since 1946 when the restaurant opened. The veal in the Parmesan patty was hockey puck thick with a slice of cheese and a heavy red sauce. Others in our party had the osso buco special which... More

Had dinner with friends last night at Lombardo's and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The service was very good, the bread and salad top-notch, but the highlight was the lasagna. Every bite was scrumptious and surprising. Sometimes I would get sausage, sometimes pepperoni, beef, mushrooms and/or peppers. It tasted just as good the next day reheated in my microwave. There was a nice... More

We were in Lancaster for a conference, hungry for Italian food. Lombardo's was recommended by the desk clerk at the Marriott. We are so pleased. Friendly, helpful staff. We were greeted by the owner, Mike Lombardo. He takes so much pride in his business. Food was excellent. Everything was homemade. Topped off my meal with lemon creme brûlée, outstanding. Wish... Lombardos is an enjoyable restaurant to visit. The staff is very friendly and the italian food is authentic. The restaurant looks typical old school but we found it to be clean and comfortable. The bread is delicious and they have a house made sweet and sour dressing that is great. The fresh veal was so tender anjd tasty.

The hotel recommended this Italian restaurant. I consider myself an Italian food critic as I make so e good stuff and can usually tell if it's good or not. I always take negative reviews with a grain of salt, however, many are right on. The marinara sauce was not good at all. No flavor and was a thick tomato soup.... More

We've eaten here twice this year, both times the food was excellent, but the wait staff - who have probably been there forever - should take a course on how to be pleasant. Our waiter pretty much tossed our utensils at us, grumbled about tipping here via credit card and then threw after dinner mints on the table for each... More

Came here based on recommendations from our in-laws. Décor could definitely use an upgrade as it's a somewhat depressing dining room with very outdated furniture and walls. Bad water stains on the ceiling are not very inviting either. All in all a very drab restaurant that could look quite nice with a renovation. The food was better than expected in... More
