My sisters and I spent the evening at Gibraltar last night to celebrate our birthdays. We can't say enough about our server, Ossie! He was knowledgable, helpful and had a great sense of humor! My one sister eats gluten free and Ossie made it easy and the menu had great options. She had the salmon and might I add....she cleared... More

We stopped in Lancaster on our way to pick up our daughter at Dickinson. Found this place on trip advisor. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and our food was great. We sat outside on a beautiful July evening. We ordered mostly specials and all were wonderful, tasty and fresh. We will be back next Summer.

We enjoyed the crab cakes here. The service was excellent and the food was more than satisfactory in both quantity and quality. The atmosphere was wonderful. It is located in an historical building with many small rooms that are very comfortable in tone. If you're looking for a place for a fine dining experience in the Lancaster area, this is... More

Thank you, Gibraltar. You gave us a great evening for our parents 50th Anniversary. We celebrated our parent's 50th Anniversary at your fine restaurant. We had 17 people including 5 kids under 12 years old. Not only was the service expeditious and effective, but it was friendly and responsive and patient. In fact, you made the table of five kids... We reserved a special table weeks in advance of our visit, but when we got there, it had been given to other people. Excuse: We lost your request. Things went downhill from there; botched salad, uninspiring food, and more lame excuses. I contacted the restaurant via internet and got no response. I called and talked to the owner, who agreed... Service was friendly but flighty. My salad and entree we both given to another person at my table. Ordered the sushi roll appetizer and it was warm bland mush. Our table was in the shadow of a huge dead palm tree. Very average at best for a premium price. With so many new options Gibraltar needs to step it up... More

Awkwardly placed behind a college campus this restaurant was offers a pleasant dinning experience. The Raw seafood Plateau was delicious. For dinner I had the Scallops witch was nicely prepared with mushrooms and a potato casserole. The cream brûlée is divine.

A few days ago, we met a charming couple at the Greenfield Inn restaurant and asked what local restaurant they recommended for seafood, and without batting the proverbial eyelash they simultaneously answered--Gibraltar next to F&M. So last night my partner and I feasted on butternut squash soup that was THE BEST soup we had had in many decades, calamari that... More

Gibraltar has a variety of options on its menu. The bar is great and the overall atmosphere is a definite selling point along with the service of the staff. While the food was good it wasn't outstanding and that makes me feel that it is a little overpriced for the area.

Had the loveliest time at Gibralter this weekend for my birthday. We ordered the mussels and were blown away! The broth and quality of the mussels were sooo tasty with extra bread from the waitress to sop up the juices! I ordered the sea scallops which were sweet and delicious and my husband ordered the whole fish (branzino or something... More
