Description: If you haven't visited El Serrano along Lancaster's Columbia Avenue...
If you haven't visited El Serrano along Lancaster's Columbia Avenue lately, you haven't visited El Serrano. Or, perhaps it is more appropriate to say, you haven't visited Peru. Every square inch of the Latin-American restaurant has been extensively redesigned, upgraded and refurbished authentically, with architectural details similar to those of 150 years ago--to the point that stepping through its hand-carved mahogany doors is like entering a Peruvian hacienda. As owner Manuel Torres says, "it's like going on vacation."

There were 17 people in our gathering and they managed to seat us at one large table. The food was very good and our server was terrific. After dinner a tour was arranged and it was informative. No human ever answers the phone when calling this restaurant....No personal touch...Perhaps, they are successful in spite of their selves... Our first lunch experience....no outside signs let us know where the main entrance was...front of the building had a wrought iron gait and we thought that was the main entrance. Drove around twice and realized that we should enter though... More

El Serrano is so authentic from the food to the ambiance - you'd think you're in a far away country. outstanding, well worth the trip & prices

Food was delicious but the server was incredibly rude. Her attitude ruined the experience for us. Just seemed like an overpriced meal wrapped with a spiteful server. Will never go back.

I decided to try this place for lunch and sadly enough, it was a bad experience. First, I ordered a pisco sour, which is a Peruvian drink, but the drink was really bad. It really made me think the bartender had no idea how to make it ( I was in Peru two weeks ago, so I know what it... More

Had everyone (8 folks) meet here for my daughter s bithday, and even though it was before 5pm, and the restaurant was not busy, it still took 15 minutes to be achnowledged by a wait person, then another 45 minutes to get our food, and we finally had to go find our wiat staff to get our check. The food... More

Me and my husband ate here for first time, food was very good. We were surprised we eat Latin food all the time were we live. Would go back again.

Been to El-Serrano several times. The food is slightly above average. The menu is limited. It's something different to try once and awhile.

I discovered El Serrano shortly after I moved to Lancaster and it has never moved out of my #1 favorite position. The place is just amazing -- the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the service -- it has never been a disappointment in many, many visits. The menu is not huge, but everything on it that I have ever tried... More
