Clearly one of the gems in the Lancaster downtown eatery scene. Traditional restaurant with a wonderful bar and a very contemporary menu. I had a Caesar salad (grilled head) and an inventive swordfish wrapped in prosciutto. Recommended as an excellent go-to spot in downtown Lancaster.

Crazy Shirley's is upstairs. Best little spot for a nice bite to eat. Always warm and cozy .... Nestled in the heart of the city. Dim lighting and knowledgeable staff. Great mixed drinks. Dress well and go with an appetite for great food and perfection. You won't be disappointed. I've been coming here for over 15 years. It's where we... More

Besides being set in a beautiful building, the food was amazing and the service top notch. I'd recommend the swordfish as well as the pot-de-chocolat for dessert

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Belvedere. The overall experience was great. I loved the fact that they kept the old style looks of the building and the Christmas decorations were amazing. We got there half an hour early before our reservation and out table wasn't not ready yet so we were welcomed to have... More

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at The Belvedere Inn on New Years Day. We arrived over an hour earlier than our reservation to enjoy a drink at the bar. Unfortunately, the bar was packed - no room to even stand. And LOUD. We asked the hostess for a recommendation for a local bar to have a drink,... More

My wife and I just ate at the Belvedere during a visit to Lancaster. The food was first-rate, and that included the chef having to use her imagination to steer around my dietary limits. The service was also excellent - our server was very attentive, listened to us carefully, and also chatted with us so we felt we weren't just... More

The setting in this old building is charming with the old style bar in the front to the restaurant area with quiet seating. Our waiter was so knowledgeable and helpful. The menu is quite varied, we had some seafood and meat selections; all were excellent and done with a bit of a flair.

I hadn't visited in about a year since I received dry, boned filled salmon and bad service and this visit was just as bad. The eggroll was nearly raw and there was lots of sand in the mussels. It was inedible. The pot de creme was delicious but could not overcome the terrible food.

We eat there several times a year (at the bar) The food is always great, Jamie, the bartender always make you feel welcome. We were there last week for my husband's birthday and had a great time!
