Any one who has spent time in Lancaster City knows about On Orange. This location has a long reputation for being the best place in town for breakfast, well maybe lunch too. The names on the front of the restaurant have changed and even owners too but, this little kitchen puts out consistently delicious food. The Swedish Oatmeal pancakes have... More

This tiny storefront, eclectic bistro has a great healthy/whole food menu - try the oatmeal pancakes with whipped cream or the great variety of freshly made (unusual) omelets or a hearty muffin. Enjoy the newspaper and great coffee, then take a stroll through downtown Lancaster to see our great Central Farmers Market and the many boutique shoppes around Penn Square.

My husband and I recently had breakfast here on a Saturday morning after an over night stay in Lancaster. We arrived around 9:30am and were seated immediately downstairs. The restaurant is small and quaint. Both of our meals were delicious and they have really good coffee. When we were finished they provide your bill with chocolate chip cookies which were... More

Met two friends for brunch here, first time customer. The service was decent and the food was fine. One companion got a disappointing breakfast sandwich that came lonely on a plate (without fruit, hash browns, or even a garnish); poor presentation. The other friend got a tasty speciality omelette that she enjoyed very much. My pick was a chorizo corn... More

Happened upon this place while doing some holiday shopping in Lancaster. What a FANTASTIC find. The place is adorable, the people running the place are wonderful and the food is awesome! We had the pleasure of being waited on by Joan who was the sweetest and nicest person EVER! My daughter had cream chipped beef, hubs had a spinach florentine... More

I dined at On Orange twice for breakfast during my short visit to downtown Lancaster. Both times were equally enjoyable. The food here is fresh, original, thoughtful, and well prepared. The menu is somewhat small but I think includes something for everyone. The restaurant is small but comfortable. There are upstairs and downstairs dining areas and a small counter. The... More

If you want a breakfast where your not rushed, serve great coffee, food is freshly prepared and service is great, then this is your place. It does get busy on a weekend but if you decide to wait it's never a long time before a table opens up. The bread is home made and it's a nice touch with the... More

This is a very small bistro on Orange Street. Very limited menu, but the food is well prepared and a good value. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a cute little place for lunch.

We ate breakfast here this morning and it was excellent. It was very busy with about a 10-minute wait, but well worth it. They have a unique, mildly eclectic from scratch menu.

I also do not understand the hype, but would be willing to give it a second try if I lived in the area. It was suggested I try this place while staying in town for a couple of days. The owner, Melissa was very nice. Our waitress was very attentive, but there were only 3 other tables in the place... More
