Step back in Time

This is the old roadside hamburger stand you remember from the 1960s. Order at the window. They have a slew of picnic tables out back as well as a small dining room for those who need air conditioning. They do close for the winter months, so don't look for them before next March.

we visit Freeze and Friz frequently and have never been disappointed. They have a wide selection of food to choose from. They also have hand dipped or soft serve ice cream with is nice. They have setting indoors or outside. The food is prepared upon ordering and service is quick. Great place to enjoy a more relaxed easy meal.

This place is nice and sort of a throw back of the ole days. Sometimes they have events and car shows and it is a nice family environment when they do. Simple place out if you don't want anything fancy and just some good food and ice cream with the loved ones.

While staying with a group of couples at the Inn at Leola Village (highly recommend!!!), we decided we needed ice cream our last evening. Freeze and Frizz was just a couple of miles down the road, and what a fun treat! Hand dipped, soft serve, burgers, hand-cut fries, etc.--It was like stepping back in time to some of the places... Take a step back in years to the "Happy Days "-type of fast food, but they offer more than just good burgers, hand-cut fries, and a great ice creams selections. They offer Bar-B-Q or Chicken, as well as other items - all made-to-order. Our double-cheeseburgers were cooked just right, adorned with whatever embellishment we chose.. The soft-serve ice cream for... More

As has been stated, this Leola hangout has been around for 30 years and we used to enjoy it immensely. Opened only for the summer season, you could depend upon their wonderful "diner" food.....homemade BBQ sandwiches, fresh-cut fries and anything in the way of ice-cream delights! Fast forward from 25 years ago to yesterday, when my husband and I visited,... More

They offer a nice variety of foods including breakfast at all times. The food is very "ok". Its nothing to get excited over, but it's a great place to go with family and kids to grab a quick bite to eat. Their food and ice cream is a bit expensive however. A simple meal of burger fries soda and a... More

You don't find "joints" like this much anymore. Decent food and a throwback to the 1970's. Really different to look out a window at the cars going by and see not one but three horse and buggies go by.

This restaurant is, and has been for 30 plus years, the local Leola hangout for sandwiches and ice cream (Think "Happy Days"). Although there is actually more than one Freeze and Frizz, you walk in and immediately sense you are in a place that is locally owned and managed with no "franchise" feeling. This is the place that your parents... More
