The staff is lovely. The inside decor is traditional, cozy and charming. It's a great spot to go with friends. It's a locals' haunt. You know it's good when you go and on a cold winter's night it's packed. Their kitchen closes earlier than I would like for dinner, but their chips/fries are served later and I wish I would... More

If you want to know what it is like to eat in an English pub, from the food to the atmosphere.....eat at Quips! Brought back many memories of my travel in the U.K. Delicious. Friendly. Authentic. Wonderful!!!

Had my jacket stolen right of the hook at the bar when I wasn't looking. Other than that, a decent beer selection with incredibly inattentive bartenders.

Went for dinner at Quips October 29th., and ordered fish and chips, Guinness, Fullers pale ale and Old speckled Hen on draught. The beers were excellent. The chips were first class too and the fish, definitely not cod or haddock, was ok. There were lots of batter bits on the plate which I liked but my partner didn't. The mushy... More

Wanted to eat someplace different on a Saturday night and searched trip advisor for a pub. The place is a pub. Lots of posters, signs, soccer team themes, TV's to watch the game and a good time atmosphere. They have many imported beers on tap and service a variety of food items. We had the fish and chips which were... More

Like the unhappy reviewer below, it has been many years since I've been to this pub. However my experience is completely different. The food was perfect. The tomato bisque to die for. The atmosphere is pub/basement bar...exactly what it should be. The servers are friendly and personable. A MUST for anyone seeking great food in a friendly place.

We were taken here as guests for our 20th anniversary dinner and it was a memorable event! Remember this is a pub, offering an authentic British traditional menu with fish and chjps being their signature dish, served wrapped in a British newspaper as it most often is in England. The venue is also typical - vintage, friendly, noisy, dark, and... More

We ate at quips 15+ years ago and thought it was bad food. We returned based on some curious reviews. Turns out some things never change! Same frat house decor, aroma, and level of cleanliness. The food (in respect to all English pubs) was pasty bland or fiery spicy, no happy tasty medium. The beet salad had no dressing (although... More

Great beer selection. Yummy apps and comfortable atmosphere. Make a reservation if you want a table, this place gets busy.
