For those of you who love food that is not necessarily for the healthy crowd, or , off your diet!...this is fun. But please know that it can become addicting! IT's good old fashioned faire, they do have healthy alternatives here as well, just ask they are more than kind, good place.

I was in town on business and came on the recommendation of a student at KU. This place is soo good. They make the donuts fresh to order so they are hot and crisp on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. Then my donut was hand dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with peanut butter chips that immediately... More

These donuts rock! They put DD and Krispy Kreme to shame. Love the food and atmosphere!!!! And the staff are very friendly.

I love The Frying Dutchman! Nothing beats a hot, freshly-fried, doughnut! I've probably had just about every flavor they offer. My favorites include the mixed berry and cinnamon sugar doughnuts. I am a big coffee drinker and this place brews the best in town (which is saying something since there are two coffee shops which supposedly specialize in coffee right... More

On our way east from Amish Land back to civilization we past through a small town called Kutztown PA. We learned from the internet that "There is a house in Kutztown, they called The Frying Dutchman and they sell the best donuts"...So we stopped by. A beautiful young couple With a small smiley baby welcomed us. We told them that... More

It's a great place. Only a few tables, but the menu has wonderful donut combinations like French toast donuts and s'more donuts. Or, you can create your own combination of toppings and glaze. they then fry them for you! Fresh fried donuts to order! It puts those couple times a day places to shame. My only qualms are it'd be... Each donut is made to order, all served warm. Sooo many toppings to choose from but naked donuts are just as decadent. This is absolutely my guilty pleasure...and they sell milk in glass bottles too! Wow

These donuts are hot and made in front of you. The toppings are good and add to the donuts. Not a low calorie option but definitely worth the indulge.
