Stopped in because we remembered seeing this restaurant on the Food Channel. We weren't disappointed. Casual atmosphere and interesting atmosphere. Elk nachos were tasty and the portion was large enough to share. Portobello sandwich was good. It was a little noisy sitting near the bar, but overall a great meal.

Food: Kangaroo tart: yum! The meat is different, little gamey at the end, but goes well on the tart with the goat cheese. Smoked exotic mushroom bisque: Freakin super. A little smoky, a little spicy, a lot delicious We made the mistake of getting some salads. I don’t know why. My wedge salad was underwhelming, and the spring salad I... More

I was craving fresh mushroom soup. We had eaten here several years ago but couldn't remember the name. We persisted and found the roof top seating we had so loved!! Exotic mushroom bisque was spectacular! My husband had the gumbo which he loved. We split the Bacon Buffaloaf sandwich. It was so very tender and tasty! Our waitress forgot the... More

I read many glowing reviews of this place before choosing to eat there. The addition of wild game to the menu attracted my attention. I had s nice glass if Souvignon Blanc and some avocado salsa and blue chips. They were both good. Then my husband ordered the buffaloed which was a buffalo meat loaf. It came appearing to be... More

Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy in there. The server helped me choose a beer by giving me samples to try. She then recommended the buffalo meatloaf sandwich. It had melted cheddar, a tasty Demi glacé, and fresh mushrooms on a soft kaiser roll. It was fabulous! It was like nothing I ever tasted! I also ordered the exotic mushroom soup... More

As a residence of a community we often overlook gems in our own backyard. Not so with the Half Moon. It has been written up many times for its varied, exotic, and tasty cuisine, but it is also a favored spot for local folk to gather. They feature unusual meat choices such as elk, bison, and other game. So if... More

We went for dinner to this restaurant on the main drag. It's like a comfortable pub with HUGE private booths. The atmosphere is bubbly and friendly. Cocktails and drinks are generous. Choice of dishes is good. They specialize in game meats: wild boar, bison, and llama, the night we were there. My husband and I did not partake, being vegetarian,... More

We stop here for the wild game whenever we are in town. Last night they had Llama and camel on the menu. We enjoyed both of them. Our waitress was very nice and brought us extra plates since we wanted to share our dinners.

Very nice lunch. Right on Main Street but weekday parking was only a few doors down. Ask to be seated upstairs, very nice and airy with a screened in porch away from the street and noise! Food arrived quick and was very tasty. Lots of locals having lunch there spoke volumes. Good food, good service, will stop in again!
