Great Meal

Byrsa Bistro in Old Kennet Square, PA, is a gem of a restaurant -- small but full of Mediterranean ambiance. Not many restaurants are open on Monday nights in Kennett Square. We happened into Byrsa The service was excellent and the food very good. I had a giant plate of mussels which were cooked to perfection. Their mushroom soup is good but it cannot compare with what we had a couple of nights later at Porteballos.

This place exceeds the reviews by a lot, neat little BYO joint with a good menu and great service. Friendly, great flavours and great Tagline meals.

My dining guest and I stopped by for lunch and we'll back! Located on the main street, we got lucky to find a space right on the street. We were greeted and shown to a table at a window. We both started with the hot Moroccan tea which we were told is a blend of three different teas. It was... More

Byrsa Bistro is a gem in the heart of Kennett Square (home to several culinary gems). The space is a little odd, but the food and service are outstanding! We were greeted warmly at the door (by the way, I would recommend reservations for the weekend evenings!), and the service remained very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Our meals... We have dined at Byrsa on several occasions and each meal has been a wonderful experience. The menu has a great deal of diversity, relying upon available of locally grown, fresh food whenever possible. This creates a unique "fusion" menu that has something for almost any food preference.

The test of excellence where food is concerned is reliability over time especially after sampling a variety of dishes. My husband & I , family & friends have eaten at this local Mediterranean eatery myriad times, and I can honestly say the food is excellent, the dishes creative, colorful & portions plentiful. Service has overall been attentive. Of course there... More

I emailed the restaurant to let them know that 2 of us got sick after eating there on saturday October 25, 2014. they didn't seem to care. there were 4 of us all having different meals. the only same foods eaten by the 2 who got sick were the mushroom soup and the creme brulee. i suspect the mushroom soup.

My family and I decided to try this restaurant again after a poor first experience when they had just opened. The menu looked great and much improved, however the prices extremely high, which is fine if the food is top notch, and I don't doubt that it is. I ordered the butternut squash soup and an entrée clearly stating 3... More
