Really enjoyed our meal here. My wife's family is Italian and this food was fantastic. Service was great and the price was not too bad. HIGHLY recommend.

La Verona has been on State Street in downtown Kennett Square for a few years, I think. I am not sure why I have never gone here. But on a cold, wintery Thursday afternoon, as I was rushing from point A to B and in need of food before proceeding, my friend and I dashed in to escape the cold.... More

The menu is good, the food as well. Also, the service is very professional. There is a lot of competition in Kennett Square, so the restaurant never seems too busy. But it is one of the restaurants I like best in town.

I stopped into La Verona after brewfest and couldn't believe the place was as dead as it was considering it was Saturday and the brewfest just ended. Drinks were a bit expensive and the ambiance was a little drab. A couple employees were sitting at one of the tables in the bar, one of which looked like she was actually... More

After a great afternoon at Longwood Gardens my wife had a hankering for some margherita pizza..the kind with fresh tomato sauce, big round chunks of mozzarella, and lots of fresh basil. We stopped at a pizza place in Kennet Square that had just the thing, but we wanted a little more atmosphere and decided to take a little walk to... More

Not too many restaurants are open in Kennett Square on Sundays. This one was. Delightful waitress! Service was fast and friendly. Wine was delicious. Food was average at best. Soup was served barely room temperature. Caesar salad lacked pizazz. Gnocchi very good; sauce very bland. Lunch salad very small. Good sausage/egg/cheese sandwich. Fireplace inviting.

We 1st ate here this summer when another Resturant was closed and decided to give it a try. Wow we're we surprised how good the food was and how large the portion where. I had the fish and my wife had the veal, both where outstanding. The owners are very friendly and always willing to help. Went back Dec 27... More

We found this restaurant by accident while walking Kennett Square yesterday. We stopped in to find a very reasonable wine list and menu. We sampled two wines that were both excellent and shared the Calamari Fra Diablo which was outstanding. It is always a treat to find a calamari that is not fried. If in the Kennett Square area, I... We were visiting the western Philly suburbs around New Year's and thought we had found a restaurant that would be open on January 1. When it turned out they were closed, we started looking for other options, and were fortunate to find La Verona. We had great, attentive service, and enjoyed a well-prepared meal (three of us had a branzino... More

We came here with friends on Fri 27 Dec. We're from the UK so were open to any suggestions for what to eat that evening. They recommended this little italian nearby. Parked after 6pm - so it's free on the main street of Kennett Square - handy! Anti-pasta was great - and plentiful, the bread was good, and the mains... More
