We liked it

Stopped off here for their famous mushroom soup; it did not disappoint! We chose to eat in the tavern; very pub like. Had a couple of drinks, mushroom soup and a cold roast beef sandwich. All were good and service was friendly. We'd come back!

My wife and I were out of town and searching for a restaurant following a full day of sightseeing. I came across the KSI on one of the dining websites and decided to give it a try. We had some trepidation when we arrived, as the place is somewhat less than inspiring from the street. Once inside, however, we were... More

This is a neighborhood spot that has been in business for a very long time. As such, it is a local favorite but may not be known to many people who are a bit more recent. The food is good and quite reasonable. The atmosphere is somewhat blah but not out of character for the bar room. The more formal... More

The Kennett Inn is my go to place for bar food. Located on the corner of Broad and State, the Kennett Inn is situated in the center of Kennett Square - an easy stop for lunch or dinner after visiting all of Kennett's great shops. The restaurant offers a bar, tavern seating, a formal restaurant and patio dining. My favorite... More

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon before a visit to Longwood Gardens. The service was slow with a very in attentive server. When it started to get busy, they did not have enough help. Had to go to the desk and ask for check, left cash and left. Too bad it's a nice location and could be so much... More

I have eaten here 4 times in the last year and a half. The first time was not so bad, but each subsequent time it has gotten progressively worse - from colorless lettuce to poorly cooked meals. The last visit I ordered a hamburger thinking that was pretty hard to mess up. It was so greasy that the bun was... More

Looked charming as we drove past so we found a parking place on the next block and went in for lunch. We chose to eat in the pub/tavern room, which was bright and cozy with about 5 tables. The same lunch menu is also served in the more formal white-tablecloth restaurant (may be different in the evening). The pub seems... More

Had reservations for a Sunday evening at 6:30. We called ahead when we realized that their website said they close at 7pm on Sundays and that we were running 15 minutes late. They assured us that as long as we ordered by 7 it was no problem. We were seated immediately - but it took 15 minutes for them to... More

On October 24th, my daughter arranged a birthday lunch for me at this lovely resturant with friends and family. The food was wonderful!!! I had crab cakes and I highly recommend this dish. I am very fond of crab cakes, but am very picky. I do not want them full of "fillers" and these were not. Also the service could... More

We had dinner in the "tavern" (bar). It was mid-week and the bar was not particularly crowded, but our service was atrocious. It took about an hour to get our dinner and then to top it off there was a minor mistake in the bill. We had the usual excuses; dinner will be right out, we are very busy tonight,... More
