Wonderful service, very flexible and accommodating. I forgot 3 people with food restrictions in a party of 15 - was no problem for them to adjust. Great price for three wonderful meals: Chicken parm, veal Madeira, crab cakes. Bread with butter, hummus, mushroom soup, salad was all excellent! Would highly recommend. Food portions were huge ( especially chicken parm!)

My girlfriend and I ate dinner here after visiting Longwood Gardens. We bought a bottle of wine from a retail wine store who owns a vineyard in Pa. This store was right across the street from Portabelllo's. Great food served with great wine.

We have eaten here several times and the appetizers and entrees are always delicious. I try to order something new every time - the steak with mushrooms, seafood pasta, and fish specials were all wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff is helpful with suggestions and answers about the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any... More

Went after Longwood Gardens Holiday Light Show. Place was packed but had a reservation. Very friendly staff. Place is small but cozy. BYO. Read reviews and had idea what to order but my husband ordered everything! It was his 65th birthday and they brought out ice cream with happy birthday written in chocolate syrup. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Terrific menu. The hostess was warm and friendly. We were seated near the Chef. The meals were spectacular, we could carry on a conversation. The salted caramel cake was a real treat.

The five of us enjoyed another dinner at Portabello's after Longwood Gardens. Mushroom appetizers a big hit, whether soup or mushroom fries with horseradish, as well as a mango salad. Dinner choices well loved were the veal, the trout, and pot roast. Lobster ravioli: lobster overcooked and needed more sauce. Dessert--carmel cake and a light cheesecake were just right. The... Place was Spot on, everything was good that we ordered. Veal and chiken Parm is phenominal, there mushroom selections work and are executed wonderfully. The bread and butter is different and good with the types of spreads they provide. Only downfall is size of place, just hope i dont get shut out from place being too packed with happy diners.... Portable's has the best mushroom soup! If you go, make sure you try it. It also has a very nice menu with good all-American variety: steak, fish, poultry, crab cakes, etc. I went with two friends and was glad we had made a reservation. The restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere but isn't large. It's also a BYO alcoholic beverage--which,... More

Made reservations for the evening we had tickets to a Longwood event and were very glad we had--this pretty and excellent place had to turn quite a few away as we sat safely at our reserved table-by the time we left, it was totally filled up! The menu as always has several unique and enticing items-beautifully prepared, presented with panache--I... More
