Great food, great staff

Portabello's has great food at a reasonable price and the friendly staff there is excellent. We have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. It is a BYOB and unlike some places they do not charge anything extra for this.

Being the mushroom capital, I expected specials tailored with this ingredient. Instead, the menu is more robust with a wide-range of choices. The dishes with mushrooms are okay, but not great. The service was exceptional, however, the staff does not have any recommendations. Expect the food to either be heavily salted or peppered. Since the place is B.Y.O.B, bring both... More

Excellent meals here. The waitstaff said the kitchen could make whatever we wanted. I got lemon veal instead of lemon chicken-it was delicious. We loved that you can see the cooking staff. The waitstaff is attentive and served out BYOB wine promptly. Service was very good for the first hour and dwindled a bit on the second hour. Dessert selections... More

This was our second time at Portabello's and just as good as the first! The restaurant is warm and very inviting, tastefully decorated and has a wonderful staff. The food is delicious and you can bring your own bottle of wine. Our friends, who had never been to the restaurant before, absolutely loved it. We enjoyed our dinner and two... More

We first met the chef at a cooking demonstration. He taught us how to make mushroom soup. We decided to follow him back to the restaurant to try the rest of the food. We have never had a bad meal in many visits. We have also converted our friends.

This is our go to restaurant. It is a BYOB and the food is very good. The place is a little noisy so not great for a romantic dinner. The food is consistent and reasonably priced. I do recommend it.

We found this spot through the reviews that others had written. Thank You! My wife and I were visiting Longwood Gardens (great day trip) and wanted to have a nice dinner at the end of the day. We were absolutely blown away by this place! The atmosphere is very cozy and the open kitchen was impressive. From the first step... More

This was my second visit. The flounder was very fresh but the portion was quite small and you would expect lump crabmeat as part of the package for $32. The crabmeat stuffing was bland and weak. Was a letdown versus first visit where I found the lamb shank quite excellent
