Great local restaurant

This is our go to restaurant. It is a BYOB and the food is very good. The place is a little noisy so not great for a romantic dinner. The food is consistent and reasonably priced. I do recommend it.

We found this spot through the reviews that others had written. Thank You! My wife and I were visiting Longwood Gardens (great day trip) and wanted to have a nice dinner at the end of the day. We were absolutely blown away by this place! The atmosphere is very cozy and the open kitchen was impressive. From the first step... More

This was my second visit. The flounder was very fresh but the portion was quite small and you would expect lump crabmeat as part of the package for $32. The crabmeat stuffing was bland and weak. Was a letdown versus first visit where I found the lamb shank quite excellent

I usually get the chicken parm because it's the best known to man, but I got the lamb shank and the chef knocked another one outta the park. It was amazing! We go here 3-4 times a month now and it's always a slam dunk. Food is really good and well prepared. This place is top notch, and can compete... More

Visting Chadds Ford PA and staying at the FAIRVILLE INN ( excellent ) our hosts suggested PORTABELLO'S, a chef owned BYOB restaurant. It was a Wednesday evening and we were greeted with a warm smile and a BIG welcome!! The menu is a special surprise as there were many starters and entrees that we would liked to have tried. Great... We met the same friends for dinner because we all agreed it was worth another visit. The service was great and the food excellent. Two of us had the duck which is done perfectly. the other meals were also wonderful. The fact that it is BYO is a real plus.

Wonderful service, very flexible and accommodating. I forgot 3 people with food restrictions in a party of 15 - was no problem for them to adjust. Great price for three wonderful meals: Chicken parm, veal Madeira, crab cakes. Bread with butter, hummus, mushroom soup, salad was all excellent! Would highly recommend. Food portions were huge ( especially chicken parm!)

We go there for special occasions, pricy but the food is great. Service is excellent. One of the things that makes it attractive for us is, that we can bring our own wine.

My girlfriend and I ate dinner here after visiting Longwood Gardens. We bought a bottle of wine from a retail wine store who owns a vineyard in Pa. This store was right across the street from Portabelllo's. Great food served with great wine.

We have eaten here several times and the appetizers and entrees are always delicious. I try to order something new every time - the steak with mushrooms, seafood pasta, and fish specials were all wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff is helpful with suggestions and answers about the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any... More
