Whether you want to have a romantic dinner or hang out with some friends, this place is a must in Johnstown. The food is extraordinary and is all made fresh. From what I understand the chef picks local mushrooms for the mushroom soup, which is to die for. Everything is ala carte on the menu and can be expensive but... More

If you are looking for an upscale dinner at a reasonable price, with great atmosphere, service and food . . do this place! The only reason I did not want to give it an Excellent rating was so it would exceed your expectations.

While exploring history in Johnstown, PA, I came upon this little gem. My first dinner was a 3 inch thick pork chop perfectly cooked through without being dried out. Tender and juicy along with grilled asparagus and salad, I was left satisfied. So impressed that I returned the next evening to enjoy the chicken filet with a thin crispy coating... More

Stumbled across this little gem while attending a local event. Had no idea they were even there. We were looking for a place to grab a bite and it reservation only but luckily they had 2 seats at the bar we opted to take. Menu was creative, refreshing, varied, and food was excellent! Can't wait to find an excuse to... More

Cute and trendy, but the portions of food are tiny and very expensive and not all that delicious. We won't go back.

We tried this again after being away a long time. So sorry....This is average food for the unsophistocated diner. The bill was about $100 for two of us.... not bad but not worth it. Too bad if you think you are going to get a gourmet meal. Depending on where you have eaten in the your foodie journey....NYC, Florence, Venice,... More

Back Door Cafe is a cozy little restaurant on a very unassuming corner in Cambria City. My husband and I have eaten here several times, but admittedly, mostly on special occasions. It is our favortie restaurant in Johnstown. I should tell you that we are not pretentious snobs or hillbillies either. We just appreciate good quality food. The menu is... More
