Packed on a summer's night

I think I was expecting more regular pub grub than gastro pub grub, but hey, that wasn't a bad thing. The dishes served up were not quite what I was expecting but food was good. Great views out onto the ocean, just a shame that they are so enclosed behind those big glass windows. Live music at the... read more

The chowder at the Pacific Bistro was fantastic! Generous pieces of fish, 2 large prawns and half a dozen delicious mussels sat in a shallow bowl filled with the most flavourful sauce-like velvety chowder. I loved the toasted ciabatta which, along with the beautifully steamed new potatoes, I used to sop up the chowder. My partner had lovely mahi mahi... More

This is probably the best view in town while you are eating perfectly good food at reasonable prices

The hotel is a yamba icon. Overlooks the ocean. Reasonable choice. Seafood on the menu. Mid range in cost.

We arrived and ordered 2 x beef burgers and 2 x kids fish and chips. When we bit into the burger patty the consistency was like it was raw. I don't know what they did to it but the patty was like pate. It really was quite horrible and even though we both were really hungry we couldn't eat it.... More

We celebrated a friend's birthday with dinner at the Pacific Bistro. Our hosts had booked a table with a magnificent elevated view over the ocean and we were lucky enough to witness an amazing lightning storm that went for an hour during our meal. Everyone at our table was very happy with their food.

Yes the view is spectacular but the bistro meals are very expensive. I had the Seafood Plate for $26 and received 4 medium prawns, 3 oysters and about 15grams of Salmon all of which was average quality - nothing special. I will go back to the Hotel - for a beer and the view and eat elsewhere

This place has amazing views over the beach and friendly bar service. Decor was pretty rubbish but fortunately the view captivates you. I had one of the largests salads I've ever had. It was full of big chunks of tasty chicken, semi dried toms, capsicum, slivers of Parmesan, all things I love but somehow the dressing or the mix just... More

We so wanted to have a coffee at the hotel but we were told they don't serve it in the morning or afternoon. Such a shame. Perhaps it was just the time of year (around Christmas Day).
