The portions and choices were unexpectedly large and delicious, the choices surprising and the staff very friendly

Firstly Tapas it ain't. An unripe tomato salad and a very average tossed garden salad is not a great way to start a $60 a head Tapas banquet (organised weeks previously) and unfortunately it did not get much better. The amount of food on offer and the overall quality of the food were both way below the standard that one... More

Like the last review we got a reservation on Easter Sunday at the last minute as they tried their best to fit us in when they were fully booked out. The staff were great. We ordered two mojitos and a jug of sangria between 5 of us. We also ordered 5 tapas dishes and the stand outs were the home... More

We were turned away from every restaurant in yamba due to no reservations, but the staff here welcomed us. Everyone was sooo friendly and lovely; we were starving and ordered a carafe of red wine sangria and two mojitos, which came out in under ten minutes and were delectable. We then ordered five tapas that came out one at a... More

We as older people 50 plus ordered cocktails took at least 30 minites for them to come so when they arrived we asked for more cocktails thought it would take at least that time again to get next one(we think this may be the reason we were asked to leave)we had placed our dinner meal order then the manager ???... First off the photo here is not the said restaurant. My husband and I have eaten here a couple of years ago and enjoyed. So on the last night of our holiday we decided to eat here. The service was good. Unfortunately the food was not that good. Our first dish was tasty we had the vege paella balls. We... More

'The Pirate' is a accurate name for this restaurant. Poor attempt at true tapas. Of course I will suggest it is overpriced for what will be consumed. The staff were polite. Asked for some cracked pepper and given the grinder empty, then told they had run out. Hmm. Mojitos were palatable though sangria not so much.

The title says it all. The food was incredible, and I only wished I was drinking that night so I could have sampled some of their amazing Spanish wines and beers. The service was outstanding; food was on our table within ten minutes of ordering. Perfect atmosphere, location and reasonably priced for the quaintly and quality of food you get.... More

No need to move fast in Yamba, unless you want a table at this neat little restaurant on top of the hill. When we arrived, they were booked out, but, with a little negotiation we discovered that one of the tables wasn't needed for an hour, so we agreed to finish our meal by the time the next party arrived.... There is probably no need to detail the shortcomings of the service in this place as they have been discussed here and elsewhere. I just wanted to comment on the very threatening and extremely unfriendly attitude the owner had towards us. We had a relatively minor issue with the order we made and my wife asked him for a corrective... More
