The food was a colorfully beautiful and it was fabulously delicious, We started with fresh crusty bread with raw veg. and honey butter, then a fruit and sherbet plate, wonderful bisque, tender pork with fennel, and a treat of bread pudding with bakes banana.... Yum

Nice ambiance, very friendly service, interesting choice of ingredients, tasty food. The only problem i had is the price looked steep for the type of food we had

We went to The Wheel for dinner following my daughters wedding. Her husband is in the military and they got married when he was on leave so that they could be together when he gets stationed. I started calling different places in Jim Thorpe to find a nice place to eat after the wedding. I finally found Tom the owner... More

My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We started with the shrimp bisque which was phemonimal (even at $14 a bowl). My boyfriend got the pork thorpe and he said it was the best pork he ever had in his life. I actually got one of the specials and was really unhappy. Not because of the... More

This had been one of the best restaurants, not on only in Jim Thorpe, but that I had ever eaten at period. The owner/chef in an eccentric fellow, for whom I had the utmost respect in terms of his culinary skills. However, he's ruined a couple of evenings for us, because he chooses to be open or not at will.... More

excellent food, incredible decor. It is our favorite spot in Jim Thorpe. Truly a New York feel, in a quaint little town. Service is impeccable, and Chef always makes us feel welcome.

We were in town for Halloween weekend and The Wheel was recommended by our innkeeper. After dining there, I can see why. The decor is fun and funky... Blue neon lights under your table, tablecloths decorated with neon puffy paint, old album covers used as menu jackets, etc... Our appetizer selection was a special that night, clams oregenata with jalepeno,... More

Chose to eat here since the reviews were so good. The restaurant is adorable, fun kitschy decorations. The wait staff was kind and attentive, though I thought it was strange that we had a sweet girl that did everything but take our order and the guy who did was considered our "waiter". lol Either way, we were well taken care... Interesting restaurant, with various decorations around. Old album covers contain their menus. The food was very good, although it is pricey. Service was good, but it's small so if you decide to go, make reservations

I am a local Jim Thorpian and decided to eat at this restaurant for Valentine's Day 2013. What a disappointment! I decided to order the Aztec Chicken Dish- very very bland. For the price you pay, definitely not worth it! One of the highest priced places in town- one of the worst places to eat! If you want to have... More
