My wife and I asked numerous locals where to eat in Jim Thorpe, and The Wheel was always in the top 3 or 4. We arrived late in the evening on a quiet night and we were graciously welcomed. Being a music head I immediately noticed a soundtrack of Miles Davis and other great jazz, including tunes by owner/chef Tom... More

We only had a table of 6 too small for the tapas menu upstairs, but the owner went out his way with 2 birthday guests and prepared the tapas menu. It was unique, generous and very good. The service was fun, the wine was limited but good we had a lot of fun. Definitely going back there again worth the... More

There are few really good places to eat in 'greater metro' Carbon County and this place is one of them. Chef Tom is a cool guy. He and his wife run the place and have a bizarre yet interesting sense of style and creativity, which shows in the food and the décor. Tom will come out and chat it up,... More

After exploring the streets of Jim Thorpe on my first visit to the quaint town, my boyfriend and I decided to step out of the cold and into The Wheel for a quick drink. We just had to check out the fun and quirky atmosphere inside. Even though there isn't a formal bar inside, they were more than happy to... More

The owner/chef created quite an assortment of small plates for our group. It was a great evening of very good food and outstanding service. Will return again and again!

Awesome atmosphere from its outdoor decor to its repurposing of its furniture...Really, we sat at the window in retired salon dryers that were painted and lit up. The menus, presented in classic record album covers, has delicious fare for all levels of palates and desires. The food is locally fresh when can be and scratch of course. The chef even... More

A group of us planned a ski trip to the Poconos for the new year. Having come from a busy city (Miami) we decided to stay in a small and cozy town (Jim Thorpe). Our last night, we chose to have dinner at a local restaurant named "The Wheel." Little did we know that this night would turn out to... More

I had never been to Jim Thorpe, PA before and I just got back from a two-night stay. This past Saturday night at 6 o'clock, my lovely girlfriend and I walked into The Wheel to have a "fancy drink" before dinner. We were greeted by a very welcoming man, and were quickly ushered to a table for two. We browsed... More

I had gone to the restaurant for a bridal shower. The owner and staff could not be more accommodating. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the crab cakes. I will definitely be going back.

Visiting Jim Thorpe with my wife, and the first doors we went through was The Wheel. A fantastic environment with warm and friendly staff. Great service, great food, and consider it more of an experience. Really loved it!
