Great place to chill out. Fish and chips cooked to perfection. Check out the local catch while you are waiting - or the pelicans if they are hungry. Perfect relaxing spot.

Family owned, and clearly ownership has an eye for styling, atmosphere and crafting an experience. The restaurant is only opened Fri - sun arvo, but takeaway options throughout the week. Worth booking for a weekend dinner. The main dining room is on a wharf over the water. Pelicans gathered to gobble up the prawn heads and the fish was all... More

Have been here a number of times of the past 15 years. Went with friends Saturday 16 November - 4 of us. Very disappointing and I will never go there again. $75 for a Seafood Platter for 2. Prawns and Oysters - everything was deep fried and all tasted the same. Couldn't tell what was fish/shark? or what was not.... More

Popped in for a light dinner and a couple of drinks. Started with a bucket of fresh prawns that came with aioli - really fresh (helps when there is an adjoining Fish Co-Op out the front!). Opted for the fish tacos and they were delicious. Washed down with a few beers from local brewers Six Strings ( beer/cider drinks list... More

Was really looking forward to lobster at The Fisherman's Wharf. Rang a week prior to reserve a table as we were travelling down the coast, booked for 7'30pm and due to delays arrived at 7.50 8 only to be told that the kitchen closed at 8pm and we couldn't be served.!

Hi Franma, Thanks for taking the time to write a review based on your experience here. It's a pity that you or your two companions couldn't take the time to call us to let us know that you'd be running 45 mins late and arrive at 8.15pm for a 7.30pm booking. Our kitchen always closes at 8pm on a Thursday... More

Have now eaten here twice. The meals were completely perfect. The BBQ salmon salad was bursting with flavour and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Sam (and sure the rest of staff) has an excellent knowledge of fish and seafood and is happy to talk about what's fresh, where it's come from and is proud of their specific efforts to... More

Casual yet lovely seafood restaurant. Friendly service and watch the fishing boats go out...while watching the pelicans come in for the night. The scampi was great....

We've been twice for Thursday "locals night" where fish & chips and the pot of mussels are greatly reduced to $15 each. Crisp hot battered fish among the best we've tried and the chili mussels are to die for in a freshly made tomato sauce well spiced - Yummm! The restaurant is connected to a very active fish market and... More

We were lucky enough to dine at quite a few trattorias and tavernas in Italy and Corfu in September. Their menus offer fresh simple food and its a 50/50 bet that you get what you ordered. A few days ago we had our daughter's wedding at Fishermen's Wharf. It was superb. Okay, we did book out the venue, and we... More

Ordered 4 lots of fish and chips takeaway. Good service. Fish was generous, batter could have been a bit crispier. Chips ok but more cooking needed. Wished for salt and malt vinegar.
